Enjoy the experience of sleeping in a hundreds-year-old cave without giving up all the modern comforts. My cave is ideal for all travellers: couples, families with children, business trips (wifi available), groups of friends and solo travellers.
It offers 2 spacious comfortable bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a bright living room with pellet stove, a spacious bathroom and a terrace with furniture. In the heart of the Caves Neighbourhood.
My cave is a unique accommodation because of its layout, the interior design and the equipment. I've combined traditional elements of the cave-houses with the comforts of modern life, taking care of every detail to offer you a comfortable stay and make you feel at home.
My cave can accommodate 4 people: one bedroom with a big double bed and one bedroom with two single beds (they can be pushed together or separated). The kitchen is fully equipped. In the winter, the pellet stove keeps the whole cave warm. In the summer, you won't notice the heat (the cave provides natural insulation) and you can enjoy the terrace.
When you arrive, everything will be ready for you to enjoy your stay.
When you arrive, you will find the following at your disposal:
- bathroom textile (towels, rug), bedding (sheets, cases, blankets) and kitchen textiles (dish/teatowels and tablecloth).
- coffee, tea, milk, and a product from our local baker
- A small library with books in different languages, magazines and DVDs
- Wi-Fi Internet
- In the cold months, enough pellets to use the stove during your stay
- In the warm months, terrace furniture under a pergola
If you travel with young children / babys, I can prepare, if you like, a crib or a smaller bed (but let me know in time).
If you are travelling by public transport, I can come and pick you up from the bus or train station in Guadix.
When you arrive, I'll be waiting for you to welcome you, show you the cave, give some explanations (if needed) about the equipment and give you the keys.
For the more independent guest: this and when you return the keys can be the only moments of interaction.
For guests looking for more interaction: tell me if, for example, you'd like me to help you prepare your visit to Guadix & surroundings or to advise you a restaurant or anything else.
Both my husband and I are teachers of Spanish as a second language. Should you be interested in taking some classes during your stay, please contact me.
As for the house rules, we do not ask a lot, but what we ask is really important:
- Smoking is not allowed
- Pets are not allowed
- When you leave, leave the cave in the same state (clean and tidy) of the day of arrival.
- If you break something, replace it.
