This central apartment is perfect for whatever the reason may be for your stay in Paris. A cocoon of 23sqm but with all necessities included (bathroom, kitchenette...).
★In the tradition of "True Parisian" charm, this studio with exposed wooden beams throughout and an exposed stone wall is the essence of the Paris of yesteryear. Though recently renovated, the apartment has a hint of 'modest luxury' without giving false impressions. It's a cosy, comfortable space with a high ceiling that gives you space to breathe and relax. Apartment is on 1st floor on pedestrian street (no elevator).
★ This will be your very own apartment in one of the oldest arrondissements in Paris - Montorgueil.
In the apartment you will have WI-FI access, digital TV and a phone line with free calling to 100 countries land lines.
In the kitchen, you will find everything you need from tea, coffee & sugar to cutlery, plates and glasses. There will also be milk and water in the fridge ready for you to use and cookware should you feel the urge.. Or if you manage to resist the many great cafés and restaurants literally at your doorstep.
The bathroom has a shower/bath and toilet and you will have an ample supply of towels for your use. You will also find the usual toiletries, and yes there is even a hairdryer.
★If you want to have a relaxed day you can indulge in a thai massage just by entrance door to the flat. They also do manicures… Maybe a foot massage if you've walked a little much ;-)
★ If you stay for more than a week, we'll arrange a time to come over (after agreeing with you on a convenient time of course) to change bedding & do a little cleanup/make sure all stock is fine.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to drop us a line and we will get back to you very quickly. We both speak English and French, and Pierre has notions of German and Spanish.
Look forward to hearing from you soon..
Pierre & Duncan.
Not a big list as we're sure it's common sense to everyone. Basically:
- no smoking inside the studio. It has just been renovated but more importantly Duncan is asthmatic and his nose knows.
- no pets allowed in the apartment. Duncan has allergies so once again his nose will know.
- respect and treat the apartment as you would expect us to respect and treat your own.
- soiled towels or linen (makeup, blood, wine...) will need to be replaced and will be charged against the security deposit.
- please communicate with us as soon as possible, should something go wrong (soiled or broken items) during your stay, so we can try to fix it as soon as possible.
There is access to the outdoor rooftop area from stairs should you need a cigarette fix.
When making a booking, please have a verified email address and phone number on your airbnb.com account first.
Unfortunately we cannot offer a late check-out or early check-in. Also, you will not be able to leave your bags at the apartment after check-out. We say this to be fair to all our guests who decide to stay with us, including maybe you. We will need the key back at check-out. There are several major train stations which have a luggage storage facility should you need to leave your stuff somewhere before check-in or after check-out.
If this may pose an issue for you, then we invite you to check out our other listing on airbnb.com; Paris : Love Nest by the Canal. We can be a little flexible here, within reason of course.
Please let us know your confirmed travel details (not just arrival time, but flight/train numbers, so we can check for delays on the day) as soon as possible so that we can make necessary arrangements for your arrival at the apartment.
If you are new to Paris, we can take some time to show you around the neighbourhood and go over the maps to show you where things are and how to get there.
What we ask from you:
Please take the time to finish up your AirBnB profile with a picture, personal statement and verify at least email and phone number, so we know there is not going to be any breakdown in communication.
Once you've confirmed the booking, please respect the flat and don' hesitate to make it your own. We wan't you to feel like you are at home, so don't do things you wouldn't do at your own place that's the major rule I guess.
We look forward to welcoming you and hope that you will enjoy your stay in this central little cocoon :D
★ We've enjoyed meeting every one of our guests who have stayed with us at the Love Nest by the Canal, and this won't be any different.
On arrival, we will be there to welcome you in and take you through the necessary details of the apartment, the building and the area. Depending on your energy level, we would be happy to take you on a quick tour of the neighbourhood to get your bearings.. But we totally understand if you just want to kick back, relax and prepare for the following few days.
If you need anything while you're here, we are just 3 stops away on the metro so we're close by.
Been doing AirBNB since Feb 2013 and what I've seen so far I have loved! This is a great way to meet people and I can't wait to take my own trip using this site. It's certainly a good option if you're after something a little different during your holiday.
Enjoy your travels wherever they may take you and maybe we will see you some time.
Duncan & Pierre.
