Private property off some 2000 sq meters with gardens and lawn areas back and front in a quite street. Good off street parking. Five minutes drive from town or fifteen minute walk . Ideal for both winter and summer. Useless Towers got the name from good friends who stayed with us and the name has stuck. We are sure you will not find us useless and will enjoy your stay. There is no cleaning charge.
Warm room with a comfortable queen size bed and a nice outlook to our back garden. you have your own private bathroom and separate toilet. We supply dressing gowns for your comfort and there are extra blankets if required. The bed has an electric blanket. Cost is for room. One our two people.
You have your own privacy. There is private access to your room but you are welcome to come in via the main entrance. You are very welcome to join us in our lounge and warm yourselves by our fire on a winters evening. Or enjoy the quite surroundings outside back or front. Feel free to use our outdoor seating. We are sociable and happy to have a chat.
We are delighted to help you in any way. Our street is off Spar Road and close to a number of attractions. Including the likes of the Prawn Farm, Taupo Honey Center, Jet Boat ridding , Huka Fulls, Helicopter rides but to name a few and all within a short distance from our home.
We are able to pick you up from the bus station at know extra charge.. To collect you from the airport is a small charge of $10.00. We have laundry facilities including washing machine and dryer at a charge of $6.00 . You are welcome to use our outdoor table area and listen to the bird song . You may even like to hand feed our chocks. We supply a continental breakfast . However we can provide you with a cooked breakfast including our free range eggs for a extra charge of $16.00 per head.

Gary and Penny are a retired couple who moved to Taupo in 2016. Having traveled ourselves we love to meet others and share our experiences and theirs. We are sociable and are delighted to share our warm home with you. Gary is a keen sea fishermen and Penny loves to quilt. Come and join us with a glass of wine by the fire in winter or out in the garden on a warm summer evening.
