Telemark Camping is a warm-weather campsite on Lake Skrede offering various accommodations. This listing is for a studio cabin on the lake. You can enjoy fishing, boating, swimming, magnificent hikes, or local restaurants, attractions and shopping.
Quaint, rustic cabin sleeps up to 3 people, has small covered porch, great view of the lake and surrounding mountains.
Two stacked single beds ("bunk beds") plus a sleeper sofa, fold-down dining table and 2 chairs, small table and 2 chairs on deck (see pics for plan of space).
Electric cars (Tesla & others) can be accommodated at our house 2km away (within walking distance if needing to charge overnight) and pay the cost of electric to charge per km. Prior notice must be given to be sure of no schedule conflict with others wishing to use the amenity.
Bathing & toilet facilities in separate building which also houses small kitchen & clothes washer and wireless internet, centrally located to the cabins. Canoes available for free (1st come), bring your own fishing equipment (or ask, we can arrange to rent). Fishing license is required to fish in our lake or any surrounding waters, we can make arrangements for this for you.
Access to use entire property except directly around the farm house and barn.
Any persons planning an event or gatherings on the property beyond the guests staying with them in the cabin will need to give prior notice of how many people, where on the property they plan to gather and be approved for their event with a fee to be discussed.
We live at the main farm house and may or may not be present during your stay depending on schedule. Someone will be available nearby to contact for your needs.
Bed and bath linens are not included in the cost of the cabin (most travelers using campsites in Norway bring their own) but we have them available, please give notice ahead if needed.
Disposable linens (nicer than it sounds!) are 100 NOK per package and cotton linens rental is 200 NOK per package, both type include rental of a "real" pillow and comforter.
•NO SMOKING IN CABINS, please.
•Please remove your shoes inside the cabin. This is customary in Norwegian homes as well as helps us keep rugs clean and costs down. If you must wear your shoes inside please roll up the rugs and leave them this way when you leave.
•People creating a nuisance (such as loud music, screaming, etc), invading another guest's privacy, or in any way acting inappropriately will receive 1 warning then have to leave (no refund if asked to leave)
•Dogs (maximum two per cabin) allowed in cabins for no fee.
•Dogs must be leashed at all times outside cabin, dog waste must be removed immediately and same nuisance rules apply as people.
I manage the properties and moved to Norway in 2014 from Philadelphia, PA, USA and am just learning Norwegian so will need to speak with you in English.
My husband took over the farm & campsite in 2013 from Sigrid Veum (his mother) who took the properties over from her father in the 1970's. We enjoy cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, roller-skiing, swimming, boating, and fishing.
At our farm we have 2 horses, Rocky & Thea, 2 cats, Malin & Doris, & a "resident dog", Rugby, who is very sweet but scared of new people so if you meet him he will definitely bark but NEVER bites :-)
Other resident animals (wild) include moose, reindeer, rabbits, fox and beautiful birds.
