This room is great for single guests, and can also be booked in conjunction with each of the other rooms through my main listing at "Hudson Valley Farmhouse".
The Yellow Room is a small but charming, bright room on the north side of the house. It is one of the original boarding rooms, set up as it might have been in the mid-1800s. It has a single twin bed, and a school desk from the one room school house that used to be at the end of the road.
My house was originally constructed in 1796, and has been in my family since 1937. It is cozy and charming, with a broad porch on the south side great for morning coffee and evening wine. I do have two indoor cats, so please be aware if you have allergies, this may not be the listing for you. The cats are not allowed int the bedrooms once they have been cleaned and set up for guests, but they are allowed in every other space in the house.
Guests have access to most of the house, including kitchen and living room. If a door is closed, or a curtain drawn, please respect that room is not appropriate for guest access.
I live here. I work during the week, so am around in the evenings, and am generally doing farm-y chores on the weekends. I'm happy to offer recommendations to area restaurants and attractions.
Please check out my main listing, "Hudson Valley Farmhouse", for more information.
I'm originally from the Boston area. Hiker/backpacker, horseback rider, attempting to be a runner, recent yoga convert. Wine and book lover. Once-upon-a-time world traveller, architect; the kind of person who likes to live in the country and go to the city on the weekends for adventure.
I speak REALLY rusty French and German...
