If you’re looking for a diamond-in-the-rough Colorado mountain escape, here it is. This secluded and serene creekside cabin is located in the sleepy rural outskirts of Nederland, Colorado, where quaking aspen trees, national forest and wilderness hiking trails, alpine lakes and secret fishing spots await you.
Envelope yourself in nature’s greatest ambiance at this seasonal cabin while listening to the sounds of the nearby running creek and busy birds going about their day. Here is a place for peace and quiet, where life moves at its own natural pace, the way it was intended to be. Summer and early fall are full of wildlife and nature to be seen and explored on this private half-acre property, just minutes from national forest land. In September, enjoy the rich golden hues of the mature aspen forest that surrounds the cabin with its spectacular views.
This spacious queen one-bedroom, one-bath cabin is setup to accommodate 4 people with an additional queen sofa bed in the living space. Up to an additional two guests (6 guests maximum) are allowed at $10/per night each. However, guests must provide linen arrangements for any additional guests beyond 4; there are 2 twin-sized floor futons at the cabin that can be used. Children 3 and older are considered one guest. The screened-in creekside gazebo is available for your enjoyment and can also double as an outdoor sleeping space.
We provide clean linens for guest use; a $25 discount is given upon booking for guests who wish to bring their own.
Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions!
Cell service is spotty and limited to Verizon and AT&T networks. Wifi only (no landline telephone) is provided on-site to accommodate guest communication needs.
The cabin is located in a quiet, rural forested neighborhood next to National Forest land. We moved to Colorado from New Mexico a little over 6 years ago, so you'll find hints of Nuévo Mexícano living in our hosting and daily life.
Angie is a yoga therapist and teacher by day, closet aromatherapist, herbalist and gardener. You'll most find her digging in the garden during warmer months, making something that smells amazing, entertaining their 5-year old, or convincing you to drop in a yoga class at Nederland's premier yoga studio, Tadasana Mountain Yoga, where she teaches.
Jesse is a landscape excavator by day and a sustainable energy guru and local political activist by night. You'll most find him engaged in conversation around technology and consciousness, speaking street Spanish where he can find his fix, working in the yard, or being taken for a ride by his snowboard, mountain bike, or 5-year-old.
We love meeting new people who share in the holistic and eclectic lifestyles we've come to know from our years of traveling and sharing.
