Delightful stone house in the heart of the 18th-century old town, just steps away from restaurants and shops. The street is very quiet and the neighbours are very welcoming and friendly. Our little house has been restored with love and attention to detail by Claudio (my husband) an architect and designer passionate of the ancient Apulian architecture. It is our corner of paradise and we are happy to share it with those who, like us, love this wonderful land.
The cottage, with 4 comfortable near but separate spaces, is ideal for couples and families. It has been conservatively restored, rediscovering the ancient beauty of stone and local materials such as floor cement tiles and cocciopesto covering the kitchen and bathroom. The furniture was scanned in local antiques markets or custom made by local artisans. Accessories such as terracotta vases and the ancient Apulian dishes have been with our family for generations. The house is dotted with the typical pomi, the ceramic pigs found here in all the houses. they are said to bring luck. We just like them so much that we put them everywhere.
This is our holiday home so when we rent it we will probably not be there. However, there will be friends to welcome our guests and to suggest what to do in the surroundings.
During the summer, the hours from 14 to 18 are dedicated to the siesta. The shops are closed and nobody can be seen in the streets.
