These are my daughter's honest unbiased opinion in light of the ongoing monetary demands because they are the ones who stayed there with their 5 little girls 5 and under. If I could give feedback, I would tell him that putting a beige carpet underneath a dining room table in a “k…
Hello everyone! As you'll notice in the comments above... Victoria is upset that i reached out to her (very kindly i may add) after a lot of damage was done to our brand NEW town-homes :( In 4 years of being a SuperHost on Airbnb and over 300+ guest, Victoria is the first guest that i've had to discuss damages AFTER they left. Typically most families are AMAZING, and i'm a father of two little monsters, so if anyone understands that life(kids) happen :) .... it's my wife and I . Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. Victoria's daughter texted my cleaner per our "check-out instructions" to let them know they were leaving and thanked us for their stay.(That could of been the perfect time to make us aware of what we were about to walk into if there was truly remorse) Well.... Little did we know that we were up against the following upon arriving: -Completely ruined sheets(Prefer not to say from what but already replaced immediately) -Damaged coffee table(Durable brand new table from Wayfair) -Broken Kids chair(from wayfair) -Crayons drawn all over the brand new microfiber couch -Excessive trash, candy, food, kids food left at all angles of the house, and the list goes on. -Lastly, 9 hours of cleaning on a home that typically takes 4-6 at the most Surprisingly it's not those items mentioned that's disappointing, it was upsetting when i reached out (provided pictures) and asked if we could speak over the phone, and later had to try and reach through here or text to ask Victoria what she felt was fair to handle the situation, and she admitted the stained sheets, then changed her story, then made it my fault, became immediately defensive, and then became un-responsive all-together. As a host, it's very important that our guest are comfortable in our home and mistakes happen, so all we ask is to be up front about it and most( if not ALL) of the time we've ate the cost of a inexpensive item that my guest called to let me know a child/family member in the home broke. Honestly goes a LONG way and i've had guest offer me money all the time and we actually thank them for being kind and move forward because life happens. We're usually more concerned about having the place ready for the next guest than we are about the actual mistake. When we here things up front like a broken bowl for example, we go and buy Carelle un-breakable bowls for ALL properties to prevent it again and take it as a learning experience. Victoria unfortunately went the exact opposite direction which is truly unfortunate because things can always be handled fairly for both sides when a conversation takes place. Best regards! Alex & Molly
