Great house, a fun place to stay as you travel from one place to another
NOTE: I DO HAVE TWO BEDROOMS TO OFFER...SEE MY OTHER LISTING AT THIS ADDRESS IF YOU NEED BOTH ROOMS.
Private residence in desirable part of town, 10 minutes to anywhere. Two very comfortable bedrooms...queen beds...with a shared bath in between. The guest area of home is private and secluded for your comfort. I enjoy entertaining and meeting new people and learning about different cultures. Ample parking for your auto. I have a little chiweenie named Honey and she loves company. Coffee, tea and cocoa are provided in your room and you may use the kitchen to prepare breakfast with food you provide.
I do entertain often and friends and family drop by to visit almost daily, however, the guest rooms are separate from my personal living area. You have to walk thru my living area, but, once on 'your' side of the house its pretty private.
This is a driving town, public transit is not convenient so your own auto is needed. But Lake Charles does offer some very good local restaurants nearby and if the time of year is right, you can smell crawfish cooking...there is a boil-n-go place right behind my house.
Guests have full access to the kitchen to prepare food and there are two refrigerators in the garage to store perishable items.
I love to visit with my guests to learn about their culture as they learn mine.
I have a list of things to do and places to go in Southwest Louisiana...ask me for it if I forget to offer it to you
Kitchen access OK to make your own breakfast. Upon departure, remove bedding from bed and bring soiled linens to laundry room along with used towels.
Iron and ironing board is available.
Hi, I am Darlene. When I retired from ATT, I moved back to my hometown, Lake Charles, LA. My hubby died a year and a half after our return home. I have a son who resides in Atlanta with his wife and three sons. I love to travel however my new companion, Honey (Chiweenie) keeps me me closer to home. I love to cook and entertain my friends and make my guests feel right at home. I love meeting new people and sharing stories. My life motto is "everything happens for a reason". So, come stay with me as you travel through Lake Charles...we will meet as strangers and part as friends.
