Meiyue aka Cindy is lovely but a bit will o’ the wisp, in other words blink and you miss her, nonetheless she looks after everyone and that’s the main thing. I especially like the European and Chinese plug sockets which meant I could charge my phone without switching my universal adaptor from my mac (both bought in China), the wifi flag, clearly visible on the desk and the super cool lamp which displays the temp and time. Despite the dark and dingy street entrance, once you get past the first two doors and alight from the lift an urban eden appears! Quite unexpected so looks can be deceiving. There are about 3 door codes so make a note of those on your phone or paper if you prefer. The rooms are clean (mine was ensuite) and right opposite Keleti train station, I wish I’d come here first! Anyways, full marks and a big hug for Cindy. Xie Xie nie and bye bye for now. If I return to Budapest I would seek a room at Cindy’s again.
Great place to stay - clean, affordable, great wifi and lot's of kitchen appliances. Also, the localization couldn't be better. The only problem is communication with the host, as she doesn't speak English very well, but it's not a big problem if you avoid nuisances. Aside from that I definitely recommend it for everyone looking for a place to stay in Budapest.
