My house is in the centre of the West End (the most sought-after area of Lincoln!), about 5-10 minutes walk from the centre, 15 from the train station and Lincoln's spectacular cathedral and castle area. The quiet residential zone is also handy for the University, the Brayford marina and city-centre shopping, with a couple of parks less than 7 minutes' walk away.
The neighbourhood is a quiet, residential zone, popular with families and students (it's 5 minutes' walk from the University, after all). There are a few cafes and convenience shops, and the town centre is 5-10 minutes' walk from the house, where there are loads of bars, restaurants, cafes and nightclubs (so I'm told...).
Lincoln is a lovely, small city. For those who are able, walking is the fastest and easiest way around. You can also cycle, and the local taxi firms will usually take you anywhere within Lincoln for around £5.
- No smoking in the house. I can take small, well-behaved dogs.
