1600 square foot 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment is the upper unit (2nd floor) of a historic 1936 triplex just a few blocks west of The Grove shopping center and the Original Farmer's Market.
Our lower unit is also available and is priced the same as the upper unit.
We prefer bookings of 5 days or longer but will take shorter stays if it works within our calender.
We will only book through AirBnb if check in is within 30 days of booking due to their refusal to honor our cancellation policies. LA Lux Rents can be found elsewhere on the web if your stay is more than 1 month away.
Our check in time is after 4pm and check out time is before 10am. If you require a different time, please inquire and we will do our best to accomodate you. We want to make sure the place is clean and ready both for you and the guests coming in after you so we cannot always accomodate these requests but we certainly try. Additional charges will apply for early check ins or late check outs.
We require all the adults in your group to sign our rental agreement in advance as well as provide copies of your IDs. We do this to protect ourselves, our property and our neighbors. We are sure you have heard AirBnb horror stories, so have we. If you have an issue with this requirement, please do NOT book our property as it is non-negotiable.
The area is a designated historic district and our building maintains all the beauty and history of the neighborhood while boasting all the comforts of modern living.
Hardwood floors and lush area rugs throughout the unit give warmth and the feeling of home to the unit. Double paned windows with low-e glass provide both conservation of energy and even more quiet inside from our quiet outside neighborhood.
The unit has been newly renovated and includes a brand new kitchen, central heat & air, and is immaculately clean. Two sweet balconies give you some private outdoor space all your own and there is even a lemon tree shared by the other 2 units in the building.
1 bedroom feature a large eastern king size bed, 1 bedroom features a queen size bed and the 3rd bedroom features 2 double beds. Each bed has crisp white linens, accent colored warm blankets and a quilt for those cooler LA nights. There is plenty of closet space for travelers as well and flat screen televisions in each bedroom. Both blinds and curtains in the bedrooms allow travelers to choose the amount of light they want to wake up to. Each bedroom also has an overhead ceiling fan to help circulate air on our cool Los Angeles nights. An ipod, iphone dock and charger on the clock radio will charge your phone. Sounds of nature are also available on this clock to lull you to sleep. Each bedroom closet holds two warm terry bathrobes for your lounging comfort.
The kitchen has all full sized appliances including stainless steel refrigerator/ freezer with through the door filtered ice & water, range and over the range microwave and full 24' dishwasher and a double bowled farmhouse sink with garbage disposal. Quartz countertops add elegance to the kitchen design and are extremely durable. The kitchen is well appointed with service for 8, cookware, and more. You can easily cook a full gourmet meal in this kitchen or just as easily heat up your leftovers from the night before out on the town. Hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, newly wrapped sponge and a jumbo roll of paper towels are provided as well free of charge.
The master bathroom boasts a separate tub and large shower double sinks and commode. The second, smaller bathroom has a shower, one sink and commode. Each bathroom is finished in new tile in the original art deco style of the property. Plenty of white fluffy towels are provided as well. A starter pack of shampoo, conditioner and bath gel is provided in each bathroom as well as 3 rolls of toilet tissue and one box of kleenex. Hair dryers are also provided.
A washer and dryer in the unit make it easy to bring less clothes and go home with them clean. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets are provided.
A decorative fireplace in the living room and wedding cake crown mouldings add character and history to this wonderful home.
Each of the 4 televisions feature basic cable and roku boxes with crackle and netflix so you can relax, watch tv or a film. High speed free internet service via wifi is available throughout the unit. A printer is available as well to print out your boarding passes or any other business needs you have.
Amenities for the little ones are available upon request. Including a pack n play, stroller, and high chair.

We are centrally located between the San Fernando Valley and the Beach. Only 7 miles from the Film Studios in Burbank (Warner Brothers & Universal) and 10 miles to the beach and the airport in the other direction. We are right around the corner from Paramount Studios as well as CBS Studios.
Located just Southwest of Hollywood and a few blocks from West Hollywood,
A 5 minute drive to the East is the quaint Larchmont Village. A 'local' spot for a fabulous Sunday Farmer's market, many restaurants and great coffee shops & ice cream shops as well as some wonderful local specialty shops.
You are only 2 miles from the Heart of Hollywood. See the sights on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, stop by Grauman's Chinese Theatre to see the handprints of the Stars, The Wax Museum and Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum are always great fun as well.
For shopping and the occasional celebrity spotting take a 5 minute stroll West to The Grove at Farmers Market, only a few blocks away. Next to the Grove is Pan Pacific Park where you can run, relax, and picnic. There are several playgrounds for the kids, and many fields for soccer, baseball & more. The Original Farmer's Market, established in 1934 is nearby at 3rd & Fairfax. It has both fresh produce every day as well as great restaurants of all types, from Parisian crepes to Mexican tacos, to Indonesian fare, Brazilian dishes and more. The whole family can find something they like with the variety at this outdoor market.
A morning hike at nearby Runyan Canyon is a must for the vacationer as is a scenic drive on Mullholland Drive. Lookout points along the drive will give you amazing views you've only seen in the movies of both Los Angeles and 'the Valley'. Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Six Flags at Magic Mountain are all within a 45 minute drive. Universal Studios City Walk & Theme Park are a mere 15 minutes away. You can even take the subway there from Hollywood!
There are many great restaurants at The Grove as well as on Beverly Boulevard and LaBrea that are within walking distance.
If you are interested in sporting events, theater, concerts or other live music events, we are located within 5-15 minutes from the Staples Center & Nokia theatre, Dodger's stadium, the world famous Sunset Strip, the Kodak Theater (home to the Oscar's), the Pantages Theatre, the Wiltern, the El Rey, the Hollywood Palladium and many many more.
We are equidistant from the Bob Hope airport in Burbank and LAX International airport. We are about 10 miles from horseback riding at Griffith Park and 10 miles to the Beaches in the other direction.
Explore the 'non-Hollywood' part of LA too nearby and treat yourself to the rich traditions and cuisines in nearby Thai town, Korea Town, China Town & Little Tokyo.
Los Angeles also boasts a thriving art and cultural community and we are nearby the Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art as well as the Geffen at MOCA, the Disney Center, The LA Museum of Natural History, the LA Tar Pits & Paige Museum and the Los Angeles Zoo.
You can't beat our location to explore all LA has to offer without spending your day in the car. We are in the center of it all!
We like to meet our guests and the owner will usually stop by during your stay to say, "Hello". I am also available if you have any questions during your stay and happy to help you with any ideas for things to do in LA to make the most of your stay. I am a hands on owner and am at the property often to check on the other units, deal with the trashcans, etc...
We have both a comprehensive guest book in the unit with ideas for restaurants, etc... as well as offer our guests a Hospitality app that also has many ideas of things to do, places to eat, etc...

We cater to families and are usually quick to approve families as our guests. Groups of adults must supply more information for us (ages, plans while in LA, etc...) We ask this information to weed out groups of adults and singles coming to LA to party in Hollywood as we are not interested in accomodating those guests as their schedules and behavior tends to be disruptive to our other guests and neighbors. We hope you understand and appreciate these concerns.

All Adults (18 and over) must sign our rental agreement and provide copies of IDs PRIOR to check in instructions being sent out. The full agreement can be found at LA Lux Rents under Policies and we suggest you review it before booking to make sure there are no issues.
Noise can carry between apartment units so we expect our guests to be respectful and quiet for their neighbor's enjoyment of their own units. This would include keeping TV and music volume to reasonable levels. No running, screaming or slamming of doors in the apartment and generally being aware of your neighbors, especially when coming in late at night or leaving early in the morning.
I am originally from the East Coast via Philadelphia & New York and settled in Los Angeles in 1999. I have spent many years in the entertainment industry both in music and in film. I met my husband, originally from LA, in Los Angeles and we have a young son. We have two vacation rental properties and enjoy meeting our guests and affording them a great stay in LA!
