Spacious and colorful with a beautiful backyard and large main bedroom, our Pilsen apartment is a wonderful home base for your Chicago trip. Located on a calm residential street next to a school, we're also just one block from the shops and bars of 18th Street, Pilsen's main drag, and four blocks from the 18th stop on the L's pink line, with easy access to downtown. Enjoy the fun of Pilsen's Mexican American neighborhood, the proximity to downtown, and the comfort of our funky abode.
We are in the garden apartment of a 3 flat building. Both my neighbors have dogs, one a husky named Hunter and one a terrier named Rosie. They are both sweet but just a warning that Hunter the husky puppy will enthusiastically make friends with you as you come in the front gate. So, if big dogs make you nervous this might not be the best place for you.
In addition to the apartment itself there is a garden space in the back, and a porch in the front.
- Don't let the neighbor's husky in the house. Make her sit as you're coming into the house and there are treats by the front door to reward her. It takes a village! :)
- Keep the gate to the backyard closed, my neighbor's husky (Hunter) likes to dig holes in my garden :(
