This well designed, fully updated studio is located in one of the most sought after neighborhoods in San Diego - Mission Hills. Surrounded by a serene garden courtyard with private entry and quiet patio. Close to great dining, grocery stores and shopping, and a mere 10 minutes or less to most of San Diego’s main attractions.
This beautiful garden studio apartment “The Casita”, built in the Spanish Revival style and fully updated by an architect and designer, offers a quiet peaceful setting, yet is close to all San Diego's popular destinations, such as Balboa Park, the Zoo, Hillcrest, Little Italy, Downtown, Old Town, the beaches, Sea World, Coronado, and the airport – all just a mere 10 minutes or less away. Located in the upscale, historically-designated section of San Diego’s “Mission Hills” neighborhood, the casita was built in 1924 as a separate quarters from the main house and is fully updated. Its French doors open onto a peaceful garden patio where you may relax with a cup of coffee or glass of wine, or enjoy the San Diego sunshine. Inside, the casita is perfect for one or two people. It is equipped with a queen bed, a kitchenette with a breakfast corner, a sofa / reading nook, a newly renovated bathroom with luxurious rain showerhead, closet space, and AC/heating for extra comfort on a chillier evening or during one of the rare days when AC may be desired in San Diego. The kitchenette is small, but well equipped to make simple meals during short stays with refrigerator, microwave, sink, toaster, hotplate, and coffee maker. If you prefer to eat out, you can walk or take a short Uber to Old Town or Mission Hills' commercial center and enjoy some of San Diego's popular restaurants such as Brooklyn Girl, the Red Door, the Patio, Farmers Bodega, Lefty's Pizza, Harley Grey’s, or Izakaya Masa – our favorite Japanese gastropub (all less than a mile from the Casita). For craft beer aficionados, there are many of San Diego's 300 local craft breweries within one to three miles including Ballast Point, Mission, and Bolt Breweries in Little Italy, Stone, Knotty, and Iron Fist Breweries in Downtown, and Mike Hess and Modern Times in North Park. You will also be close to most of San Diego's sites: The major freeways intersect within less than 2 miles of the casita. A city bus line runs a block away and the San Diego Trolley station in Old Town is a short walk away. Short taxis and Uber rides to downtown are typically less than $10.
You will enjoy access to the casita and to the garden courtyard outside.
