Had a horrible experience with this accommodation and company and I don't normally write reviews but felt that after such a horrible stay, this warranted my feedback. A few mishaps along the way, but the biggest one was no cot in the room. I have a four month old baby that has just started rolling and we choose this accommodation rather then better apartments on airbnb because of the cot. Mistakes happen, but it was how it was handled that was the most disgraceful and then after my husband having to sleep on a blow up mattress for the amount we paid each night and having to argue for some compensation and only getting 70 pounds of out 350 ish we paid was a kick in the teeth. Firstly, the apartment we booked was unavailable so we were offered another apartment (or our money back). From the website the apartment we booked was more expensive then the other apartment we were offered so after questioning this they offered to put a cot (normally 35 pounds) in the room for free of charge, fair enough and we accepted. Then when we arrive, firstly the street address was 81 but the paperwork said 91 so I walked up and down the street trying to find the place. Turns out it was apartment 91 but no street number on the advice i had. Then the guest services representative was half an hour late to arrive to check us in. Then when we got in our room, there was a blow up mattress instead of a cot. The lady who checked us in called the team who said they didn't have any cots available and didn't want to deal with it so told us to call guest services. When we called I said should we find other accommodation with a cot and be refunded or will we get a cot, I got told I would be called back that day. No phone call. So my husband had to sleep on a blow up mattress and my baby in bed with me. Very dangerous but I was not prepared to pay for somewhere else if we would lose our money with them. Next day came, first thing in the morning I called and was told I would be called back in half an hour. Of course never called back, spent the morning of our holiday waiting around, in case we needed to find somewhere else to stay. Got told they were trying to find a cot, called another time. Still no answer as to when we were getting a cot. Again, had to have another night of terrible sleep on a bed with a baby while my husband was on the blow up mattress, all for $200 a night. Next day, tried calling again and got told there is nothing they could do for us and wouldn't even be offering us compensation for having a horrible stay and stressing our entire trip. A nice, clean, comfortable flat and spacious for a one bedroom. The hosts are very professional and communicative, and they made sure the check in process was quick and easy. Would definitely book again and recommend to others. Everything was well cleaned prior to my check in. A nice number of towels were provided as well. Location is not in a very tourist friendly place (for walking to sights or restaurants) but transportation is very convenient as Vauxhaul station is a few feet away for tube, train, and many bus routes. Uber's are also very frequent in the area. Wifi is provided for free but it's very slow. There's a public BT Wifi hub near the house which will give you better wifi. This is free for BT customers otherwise you can purchase for a small fee. The view faces the inside of St George Wharf which isn't bad but you won't have a spectacular view of the river.

Important point about this stay: we actually stayed at Calico House, 199 Long Lane, because St. George Wharf was not available. Be prepared for this sort of switcheroo when you book from agencies. The place was fine, but very sparse. It lacks several of the basic amenities one would expect when staying at, e.g. a hotel or a person's guest room. For example, there are no drawers in which to store clothing, and no hooks or towel rods in the bathroom. The kitchen has exactly four of each thing (four plates, four cups, four saucers, four spoons, etc.), so with a party of three, expect to wash dishes after every meal. During the time of our stay, the weather was very hot (over 90F most days). There was no fan, and our request for one was not honored. We were able to open windows, which provided some relief. The windows have dark curtains, but as there is no other window covering, the only options are to keep them drawn and have some privacy and the place is entirely dark, or open them and see the people in the next building. Again, this is nothing terrible: the place is comfortable enough and is as advertised. But it's clear no one ever *lived* here. A few minor enhancements would make a tremendous difference. Alas, my request a few days into our (month-long) stay to fix some of these things apparently fell on deaf ears. Location: In a gentrifying neighborhood, close to Bermondsey St. About 8-10 minutes from Borough Station, maybe 15 minutes from Tower Bridge. The walk from Borough is a little skeevy, but from Calico House to the Thames is quite nice.

The appartment 1 bedroom is very clean and well located. It is quite spacious with the window on Thames and Big Ben. If I come back to London, I'll rent it again. I really enjoyed my stay.
