With its seven en-suite bedrooms, Villa Waru offers a fantastic Bali holiday opportunity, not only with its huge 6000 square metres of living, sleeping, and indoor/outdoor entertainment space, but also with its outstanding array of facilities, which you are more likely to find in a boutique hotel than in someone’s private home: Two TV lounges equipped with big-screen TVs and home theatres, a soundproof cave-style wine cellar with a billiard table that will most certainly become your base for late night drinks or even a dance party until the early hours without disturbing the neighbours, a second-floor dining terrace with a bar, plus a ping-pong table on the lawn, and a serene yoga pavilion located in a quiet corner of the property.
Three dining pavilions and a choice of several indoor and outdoor lounges ensures that every guest will find their favourite spot for time well-spent with a book or for a sneaky afternoon cocktail. There are plenty of meandering walkways and green lawns for children to play ball and hide-and-seek, as well as two swimming pools and an impressive selection of things to do when night falls including TV game consoles and a selection of board games.
The extensive garden is as much a work of art as the villa’s interiors, characterised by rambling pathways, poetic ponds and water features, bougainvillea hedges, a pergola dripping with thunbergia flowers, and plentiful stone statues, making it very easy for guests to lose themselves in a shady corner. Furthermore, the lawn is large enough for a wedding party, with an island in the main pond serving as a serene setting for the ceremony.
Villa Waru comprises seven individual suites within two separate residences, which are leisurely spread over the spacious 6,000sqm property. Each suite is characterised by its own distinctive style, all of the bedrooms are air-conditioned and adjoined by en-suite bathrooms, and each suite is supported by entertainment facilities and private dining areas.
The 3-bedroom Main House is a two-storey thatch-roofed building. On the ground floor is a twin bedroom, known as the ‘Colourful Suite’, accommodating up to four people using trundle beds that roll out from under the main frames. Also on the ground floor is the romantic ‘Golden’ bedroom, furnished with a time-honoured four-poster king-sized bed, draped with white netting and capped with a decorative gold painted canopy. The tranquil picture is completed with a huge sunken bathtub, which rests in an elevated pavilion sheltered by a thatched roof. Here, a fountain and ponds combine to create an atmosphere reminiscent of the old Bali. The upper floor is home to the Teak Suite, Villa Waru’s largest and most sumptuous master suite comprising a bedroom, a walk-though dressing room and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower (note there is no bathtub in this bathroom). The bedroom is characterised by teak-panelled walls and ceiling, a polished teakwood floor, a writing desk, planter chairs, and a king-sized bed crafted in leather. French windows can be opened to the sound of birdsong.
Surrounded by picturesque ponds filled with lotus and lily flowers, the one-bedroom Cottage (otherwise known as Gecko Suite) offers a charming single-storey suite with a queen-size bed and a semi-outdoor bathroom.
The one-bedroom Master Suite or Lucky Eight is an impressive standalone octagonal building accessed via a storybook hump-backed bridge over a lotus and lily-filled pond with a waterfall. The eight-sided bedroom is furnished with a king-size four-poster bed, complete with an open-air ensuite bathroom fitted with a soaking tub surrounded by another lotus pond. An exceptional feature here is the shower room fashioned in the style of a Turkish hammam; the star and moon cut-outs within the domed roof are designed to channel the moonlight.
The two-bedroom single-storey guesthouse is distinguished by colonial-inspired modern architecture set around a lily pond and a 6.5-metre swimming pool. The bedrooms are spacious and light with high ceilings, polished wood floors, contemporary furnishings and a white décor. One room is furnished with a queen bed, while the other is ideal for families with a 3.6-metre-wide four-poster bed offering any configuration of three beds. Each room has a delightful outdoor terrace for relaxing or reading, and a private bathroom with a shower and a large sunken soaking tub. Between the bedrooms is a living area furnished with sofas.

Hi, I'm Vasily and I'm the founder of the VillaNaBali vacation rentals and management company.
I first came to Bali in 2007 for a New Year's holiday, and somehow me and my friends managed to establish the first Russian-owned property company on the island. My life then changed. I moved here in 2009 and I am till here today.
Doing vacation rentals as a profession, I know that it is so important to create a homely feeling in our villas and offer the warm Bali hospitality that people can only experience when they holiday here. Balinese people are outstanding; they are friendly, they smile all the time, and many of them are happy to go the extra mile to make guests happy (as for the Balinese who are not so happy, they don't work in our villas). We love welcoming people from around the world and it is a fantastic experience to share our vision.
The other important thing we deliver to our guests is the chance to discover the Island of Gods, and all of its rich culture, traditions and colourful religious rituals. We help each guest to arrange a personalized itinerary and visit the places they most want to see. We have sacred temples, amazing tropical parks, secluded beaches, dramatic cliffs, fantastic rural landscapes with emerald rice fields, mountain rivers to try rafting, jungles and sacred valleys perfect for meditation and yoga. I have spent a lot of time travelling in the island and I still can't say I know it all.
I'm very proud of my team of people, Balinese and expats, because they add their love to everything they do. Everyone will discover his or her own Bali and will feel the island in different ways but no one will remain indifferent to it.
Come to Bali, and let us do our best to help you really enjoy your holidays. Think only of your holiday not of routine.
We promise you heartfelt service from your first and until your last minute of your holiday.
Om swastiastu! Selamat datang! Welcome to the Island of Gods!
