My girlfriend and I have truly discovered a treasure within the humble city of Waterloo. The room is spacious, with a private bathroom; and the surrounding area, as listed, is a lovely garden of peace, overlooking a patch of cornfields from the backyard that looks sublime on a sunset. It was only a five-minute drive to Waterloo University, where we visited most of the time, and convenient to pretty much anything you need. Our host Rose made our experience unforgettable. She greeted us with a motherly smile, and offered to make breakfast every morning. Who does that these days? For our last day, she even cooked her signature dish, passed down from her mother, Turkish Lamb Stew, and the warmth just melted our stomach and our hearts. Rose is the kind of person that this world needs, and her hospitality transcends what we deem a professional exchange between host and guest; you feel a visceral rekindling of a deeper friendship, an assurance that humanity is still ever present. Thank you Rose for everything and we will be sure to see you again! Love, from J and V.
