Amazing place to stay. Right off of PCH, so you are literally across the street from the water, and you are in downtown San Diego, so everything is a short walk or Uber ride away. Apartment is clean, private, and very comfortable. The building is quiet and clean. I highly recommend staying here.
Communication was difficult with Katie, as she was in Russia. I was eventually put in contact with somebody else on her behalf, but the process to get to that point was long and stressful. The apartment was not what I expected and was missing the basic amenity of toilet paper. I ended up cancelling my reservation as the apartment was not what I was expecting at all and the host was questioning my own firsthand experience. I have no motive to lie about my experience as me cancelling my reservation led me to have to find a last minute alternative for a place to sleep. I would not go out of my way to inconvenience myself while on vacation if it was not warranted.
My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night on our trip to San Diego and North County. We chose it because it was close to the Gaslamp District and was decent in price. You are basically getting a college-level apartment in a good location. Nothing extremely terrible, but nothing amazing either. It is a generic one bedroom apartment that is minimally furnished. Our biggest knock here is that the bathroom was dirty, with old hairs still in the shower. Also the towels that were provided (2) were stained. Like other reviewers, we never dealt with the "host" directly, but by a guy who met us after texting us and gave us the key. Like I said, we chose the spot for the location, as it is an easy walk to the bars in the Gaslamp District. The parking spot was a nice addition, but it is a little small and will be tough to get into if you have a bigger car (we had a Chevy Malibu and it was tight). If you have a short stay and are looking for a place to crash that is near the Gaslamp, than this fits the bill. But if you are looking for something with a little more experience and personal touch, look elsewhere.
