When we arrived to the neighbourhood, we saw a very quiet residential side on the left, and on the right, widespread vineyards. Very peaceful and pretty.
Pauline greeted us on arrival and made us feel immediately welcome.
Our room, up a few stairs, was much nicer than expected. Large, attractive space with a very fresh and airy feeling. The bed and included bedding were very comfortable. We had a private ensuite bathroom that was bright. It had a roomy stand up shower with the most amazing waterflow. (Be careful stepping out; the floor mat slides.) There is also a gorgeous soaker tub! I would have loved to have used this if we had more time! The bedroom faces the front with a beautiful view of the vineyards and hills. The photos provided do not do justice to show how attractive everything was. The room had the potential to get warm, but a fan and a portable a/c unit were provided if needed. The newer constructed house was bright, clean and spacious with modern decorating. We had access to the kitchen and living room.
Pauline showed us early on where to access cold drinks and light snacks. We had use of the coffee maker and coffee. Of special pride to Pauline was her massage chair. She was very enthusiastic for us to try it! :-) Even if you think you don't feel like it, give it a go. It does a surprisingly good job of working out tight muscles and making you relax.
Pauline was a very cheerful and social host who was always striving to ensure our needs and comforts were met!We appreciated her willingness to accept our last minute request, and her excellent communications. Also, as we are new to airbnb we had some uncertainty about how the billing worked. She promptly did some researching and contacting to look further into it to help provide answers.
Thanks for everything Pauline!
