The property is on an impressive 1709 sqm and boarders the pristine Kennett River reserve. Fenced with native gardens and a wide open grassed area to play cricket, have a picnic or read a good book in the sun
We live in Melbourne but have good friends and our lovely cleaner nearby. If you encounter any problems during your stay, we are available at all times via phone or email.
Kennett River’s natural koala colonies are a 3-minute stroll from the house on Grey River Road, or visit the glow-worms after dark further up the road. Walk to Wye River along the beach at low tide. Surf the point, swim (the beach is patrolled in summer), snorkel, Dolphin and Southern Right Whale spot between (July and September). Kids just love beachcombing and exploring the countless rock pools. Fish off the rocks or in the river, bird watch, take a drive to Lorne and catch a movie, snuggle up with a good book, play tennis at the local courts, check out the markets in Apollo bay, bushwalk in the Great Otway National Park and nearby waterfalls, explore the river and bushland track adjacent to the house, enjoy a long, lazy lunch on the deck, cuddle up by the fire with a DVD, play a family board game or simply watch the natural world go by right from your bed
- No outside shoes inside please
- Quiet hours after 9pm due to wildlife and neighbours
The sun on our backs. Healthy, home cooked meals, sand in our toes and laughs with friends are just a few of our favourite things. Nothing makes our little family happier than spotting wildlife thriving in their natural environment, getting ready to take off on an adventure somewhere new and a glass of red by the fire with a good book and some old school board games with our two boys and fur babies.
