Sun-drenched East Village Penthouse, 1 bedroom available in 2 Bedroom for short or long term.
In the heart of Alphabet City sits a gem of an apartment which overlooks one of the most lush community gardens in the East Village with a view of the Manhattan skyline. Directly across the street sits "The best Espresso in New York City" so says The New York Times not to mention the police department parking garage which offers piece of mind without the sirens.
The private bedroom features a small closet, 2 dressers and a full size bed. Most importantly the bedroom has a private terrace which hangs over the community garden accompanying that full city view I mentioned!
The plant filled flat features a living room with 16’ ceilings, three skylights and three large windows. The full sun exposure makes up for the 6 floor walk-up! There's a fully-equipped kitchen and Saarinen dinning table. The hallway leading into the apartment has one wall of exposed brick. The single bathroom, with b/w-checkered tile, has a window in the shower overlooking the garden.
The apartment is maintained and would be shared by a creative professional gay male who prides himself on being a fantastic host. Lavender on the pillow and such things... Intimate dinner parties are hosted on occasion as well as roof top salon's of music once a month. One last flight up is an oasis in the East Village, a roof top garden which was built and maintained by the apartments resident.
The apartment is fully equipment with AC, wireless internet and iTV. Laundry is located in the basement with card machines for ease of use.
Smokers Ok but on the terrace only please.
On occasion the apartment may be rented as a private 2 bedroom which can accommodate up to 4 people. Please inquire with dates for rates and availability.

Be nice, respectful, "use it-replace it" if outside the norm. Enjoy NYC!
Born and breed midwesterner from Ohio, I arrived in NYC 12 years ago to study photography at SVA. I am a professional photographer based in NYC. Easy going, exceptionally considerate and thoughtful of all things around me and have been told I am the best host one could possibly be.
I work out of my studio close by in China Town, relish my morning time with coffee in hand across the street, waving hello to Maria who takes care of the community garden downstairs, Aaron who makes my coffee and Stephanie who sells me wine.
A creature of habit yet still somehow remain spontaneous.
