This was a wonderful B&B! Highly recommended! Close to everything, but very private, too. Patricia was incredibly patient and responsive with a variety of questions. You'll hear kids in the playground at the school next door. There is a music conservatory next door to the B&B, too: I poked my head in when I was exploring the area & watched a bit of a rehearsal. We walked up to the Jerusalem Theatre 2ce to see dance & music performances (a fabulous thing to do, & it's not a typical tourist thing - mostly Israelis there...dance, theatre, music, art). There is a "Natural History Center" next to the B&B that I went to - it was dated and a bit neglected, so I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend that particular attraction.
Patricia has a notebook in the B&B which gave very helpful instructions. We appreciated that there were downloaded maps. We loved walking on Emek Refaim street, shopping for clothes at the First Station, zipping around the corner for groceries. We walked to museums (Begin Heritage Ctr, e.g.), the Jaffa Gate (where we picked up a tour with Sandeman - goggle it - they are free daily tours that are quite good), and to "The Artist Colony" which is just outside Jaffa Gate (That was like visiting a museum where you can touch the art&talk to the artists!) All walking distance from the b&b. Easy to pick up a bus on Emek Refaim (#18 goes to the central bus station). Wifi connection was fine; water was hot, the beds were twin size and ok; plenty of towels, heat and AC available, washing machine & drier was great to have & there was laundry soap. Nice patio to sit on. Hot water kettle so convenient! Be sure to check carefully the dairy and meat dishware labels (we only ate dairy so that was easy). There is TV, but we never even watched so I can't speak for it. One bedroom was large and beautiful with a domed ceiling & a bath with hot tub capability (but we never used that); the other bedroom was small with a small second bathroom. It was just perfect for our needs. The price could not be beat.
I am sure there is more to say, but bottom line is thumbs up!
