I recommend before to make a resevation in this place, ask by messages all the details, my experience in Leo's apartament is:
Communication: he gave me nice tips about the gay life in Berlin, what places to go, where to eat, the supermarket to buy the food, etc. BUT, he should mention in the characteristics of the apartament what places in the apartment are off limits: like the fridge and kitchen, the living room and TV, also that it's not allowed to have visitors from the guest in the room.
About the room, it is comfortable, but when it's sunny or at night, it become so warm and there aren't ventilation because the window is broken and you can't open it. There is a terrace that you share and it has access to the room but when you or the hoster smoke, all the cigarrette smell goes inside the room.
The room doesn't have a lock. It happened that one of the nights i was sleeping, the hoster had a "meeting" and one of his guests turned on the lights of my room and opened the door, obviously it woke me up, after that i asked for the key of the room and the hoster said that he couldn't give the key, so i didn't feel safe about my things in the next days.
You can't use shoes in the apartment. And the shower has a glass that is overplaced so, you have to be very careful when you are taking a shower for not touching because you can break it and cut yourself.
So, the room is near the subway and the bus and it's very accesible, but if i would knew all these details, i surely had chosen a different place to stay.
In my experiences with Airbnb, this place didn't leave a good taste in my mouth.
