An Arts and Crafts home built in 1903 (perhaps even earlier). Original beautiful woodwork throughout the home. We continue to bring back it's glory. Charles Windolph, Indian Wars Medal of Honor recipient, once lived here. He received his Purple Heart on his 95th birthday. This room was his bedroom in his later years.
Two comfortable twin beds perfect for friends traveling together. The room has an antique solid oak door that opens to the dining room along with a set of French doors that look out to the livingroom. (Curtains available to hang up if desired). An air conditioner in the room keeps it comfortably cool in the summer along with a ceiling fan for year round comfort. The full size bathroom is just down the hall from the Jacuzzi room. Full disclosure 8/8/17: I had a guest point out that she didn't feel the room was private as it is not a fully enclosed room and no locks on the doors. A narrow hallway from the sleeping area accesses the Jacuzzi room and bathroom on the left. In addition, on the right side at the end of the hallway, a door opening allows access to the kitchen. (See added pic).
Kitchen, dining room, and living room (all on the main floor) along with the rockers and swing on the front porch, hammock in the yard and lounging chairs at the patio. I also have a garage for bikes if needed.
I prepare breakfast each morning and am available on site to answer any questions and assist you in planning your sightseeing.
I have two friendly female Labs that may be on the premises as well.
To help preserve the beautiful wood floors we prefer that muddy shoes be left at the door.
