The "Byrd's Nest" Treehouse is a great place to stay when you need to be close to everything in Los Angeles but want a peaceful place to unwind. This private sanctuary is nestled high above Sunset Strip in Laurel Canyon. Enjoy a stay in an oasis of quiet and natural beauty where you are close to the thick of things but can come home to rest in a rare spot of nature.
This very convenient location is close to the Sunset Strip, Major Studios, Comedy Clubs, Hollywood, UCLA, great hiking in Fryman & Runyon Canyon, and 40 minutes drive to the beaches.
The "Byrd's Nest" is a studio beneath a main house. Three levels of stairs lead to the studio, so this is not a wheelchair friendly space, sorry.
Fully-stocked kitchen allows you to cook your meals. Eat dinner indoors in the dining area or enjoy scenic views with your meal on the balcony. There are also many restaurants within a short driving distance.
The loft bed has a brand new queen memory foam mattress. You also have your own personal washer and dryer that adds to the ease and comfort of your stay in Los Angeles. The "Byrds Nest" has a very special relaxing, private and cozy feeling to it. Over the years many who've visited or lived here have all commented on how special it is in this spot. Some known celebrities both actors and musicians have lived here with me as well.
Private balcony overlooks beautiful Laurel Canyon with green hillside and treetop views. You can listen to the birds chirping, wind rustling the trees and coyotes howling at night.
Street parking by the house is easy to find.
The "Byrd's Nest" overall is wonderful for a single traveler, couple or friends that are looking for a peaceful, central and easy location to stay in LA. Enjoy an affordable space with all the basic amenities of home that goes above and beyond a hotel room.
Studio space with private balcony, bathroom, kitchen, washer & dryer.
Owner lives at same location with guests and is available to help or answer questions for guests as needed. She is also happy to give guests all the space and privacy they desire.
Host provides Purified Filtered Kangan Water, teas and coffee for guests. Coffee maker and tea kettle are provided, as well as sweeteners, almond milk & milk/cream.
I've lowered the smart pricing & giving a substantial discount. 20% off weekly and 35% off for staying the first 28 days as a month booking.
I need some reviews. As well, to accommodate any possible noise factor that my neighbor's renovations may cause my new guests.. They begin if they work at about 8am sometimes later for a few hrs. Mon- Fri. they even skip a day or 2 and don't show up. Sometimes we don't hear them at all or only for a very brief period of time are heard. But, I wanted to make sure my new guests are aware of the current-temporary environment. Otherwise, during the rest of your time staying at "The Byrds Nest." The Canyon is very quiet & most peaceful. I assure you, you will enjoy your stay here and the beauty of the canyon. Especially in the evenings while listening to the sounds of nature lull you to sleep, perhaps an Owl or two, maybe a few Coyotes, a Deer walking around the property, or the sound of absolute pin drop silence.
Note * Cell Reception can be spotty up in the hills. The Majority of the Hills can be challenging for AT&T as well as Verizon. Once driving back down the hillside your reception can work. As well I've found it to work at the parking lot of the Canyon Country Store. Most residents have either T-Mobile or Sprint. Because of this fact.
Please be aware and considerate of noise after 10:30pm weekdays and after 12:30am weekends. Would appreciate shoes off inside the house We're on a sensitive septic system. Only toilet paper provided for septic safe needs in toilet. Use garbage cans for all other items. For longer term guests. Please do dishes and not leave food exposed for extensive periods of time. So it doesn't attract unwanted critters at your door. Thanks!
I love nature and living in a natural peaceful environment. I'm a curious person, I enjoy meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I'm an actor, writer, comedian. I'm outgoing in the world but recharge in solitude at home. I like to keep a clean home and enjoy creating aesthetic spaces.
I adore animals. I have 2 cats that are beautiful exotic indoor kitties who live inside the main house with me. The Tree House/Guest Studio has no pets so is safe for anyone with allergies. My life motto? I'd say it's The Golden Rule, "Do onto others as you would have them do unto you."
