This spacious 1 bedroom apartment is located in historic downtown Jersey City. We are 10 minutes from NYC via the Grove Street PATH station, 1 block from Van Vorst park, directly above a great local wine shop and steps away from all the best restaurants, bars, and shopping in town.
The space is located on the 2nd floor of a pre-war walk-up in the best and safest location in Jersey City. The apartment boasts incredible Natural light as the ceilings are vaulted and the 5 windows large. Our home is clean, organized, and quaint in its styling. We have a dishwasher, washer and dryer (in the building, directly next to our apartment), and everything you'll need to relax and feel at home.
Guests will have access to our wireless, cable, PS3 player with Netflix, DVDs, On Demand Movies (with permission and payment), Books (only in the apartment) all kitchen amenities, Washer and Dryer in building and the use of 1 closet.
We will not be in the apartment during your stay and would like to be in touch at least 2 or 3 times during the course of the 10 days, however, we're happy to be in touch as much as you would like. We'll always be available day and night by phone and/or by email.
Please be considerate. We're very nice and easy going people but we live in a building of professionals who would not appreciate late night parties. Also please do not cook anything complicated in our kitchen. No curries or intense spices that will permeate the walls. Baking is okay but please do clean all our bake and cookware thoroughly. Please just treat our home with respect. Thank you.
I'm an Actress/Improviser and Teaching Artist and I live with my fiance, Mike. I love Jersey City and I love the convenience to New York. A great day for me is being able to combine a little bit of all the things I love; art, recreation, good food, good drinks, and most importantly good company. I've traveled quite a bit to almost every state in the U.S., Ireland, Scotland, England, Spain, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Mexico and most recently Nicaragua.
Mike and I have hosted long term guests twice since living in this apartment. We used to find our guests/subletters. Everything in the past has gone well aside from a few house repairs needed after one guest. In that specific case we kept the deposit. We will be going out of town for the Holidays and will be using Airbnb as guests and as hosts for the very first time. We think this is a fantastic way to travel and we're excited to use the service!
