A large, two bedroom apartment on Sherbrooke Avenue West, short distance from downtown, near the new super hospital and many great restaurants. The unit is a classic Montreal design from the 1920's with 9 foot ceilings, new windows and doors, original hardwood floors and is completely renovated with a new bathroom featuring a skylight above the shower and heated tile floor. The brand-new kitchen has a heated tile floor and all-new appliances including a dishwasher.
During the renovation last year we discovered the "ghost sign." It's an original painted advertisement originally outside before the construction of our building, circa 1920s. We exposed this mural keeping it in its original format and framing it as a design feature.
The apartment has a fresh, open feeling and is relatively quiet for a nearly-downtown location. On the top floor of a three-story building with stair access only, there is wi-fi included, plenty of free street parking (mindful of the no-parking times) and a nice residential neighbourhood to explore, built just after the first world war.
NEW: For those of you with electric vehicles, we can offer free charging with our 40amp 240v chargepoint on the premises.
I'm a Toronto ex-pat musician and woodworker living in Montreal for the past 20 years. My wife is a dentist who owns the building with two large apartments above her clinic on the street level. I've totally overhauled these units and now kinda wish we could move in. Alas, they're for short-term rentals and family from out of town. We live nearby and we're able to manage our guests needs fairly quickly, although there's not much to manage.
