I booked Habibas for one night. one week after my confirmed booking and 2 days to my visit, I woke up to a 2 line text saying my booking had been cancelled because her current guest was extending their stay. I politely texted back that ot was so late for me to get another booikng. Later that day she sent me a text saying her job was taking her out of town and if i had not booked another place, I could use her bedroom, I told her I was grateful. The next day there was a storm and a lot of flights were cancelled and delayed. Mine was delayed 4 hours. for the 6 hours I was at the airport I texted Habiba every 30 mins or whenever we got an update. Finally at about 7pm we were told to rebook for the next morning flight as the connecting flight from Chrlotte had already left. Immediately I left Habiba know of the update, and that I would not be coming, she went incommunicado for the next 24 hours finally I sent her another text asking her to please refund, she finally said she was at a job site out of town and she had no plans to refund. I said even partial refund was ok, she said no, she would not do any refund. $60 will not make me richer . For me, it is all about treating people decently. Especially how thoughtless it was when she cancelled my booking without as much as a single I am sorry, and she still had her then current guest paying her for that night and knowing i was stopped by a storm, I think it was only fair for her to make even minimal refund just for decency sake afterall it should be about treating people the way we would like to be treated.
Hello Siry, (URL HIDDEN) apologies if I made you feel mistreated. I am a very practical person and by no means intended to make you feel I'm thoughtless because you didn't get a refund of $40.00. I did point to you that I have a 24 hour cancellation policy and the incident you described was no fault our mine or yours. I pray you find peace in your heart to forgive me. Stay blessed!
Comfortable stay in an apartment located within a gated development. Reasonably quiet; comfortable bed; clean private bathroom. The host is quite accommodating and maintains good communication via text/phone. GPS may have problem finding the entrance to the development. Follow this simple direction: when turning to the Prince Hall Drive from E. Vernor, reach the first yellow bike sign, and the gates will be to your left immediately after the sign.
