This is a spacious apartment (for a couple of people) in a lovely area, minutes walk from downtown, yet by the river and some lovely park areas. Chris is a great host, responsive and eager to offer suggestions for places to eat and things to do. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone spending a few days or longer Winnipeg, who wants to be close to the centre, but still have a quiet and scenic stay.
To say that Chris was an extraordinary host would be an understatement. He worked with me when another host had to cancel at the last minute, and for the entirety of my trip was just amazing. He was so, so accommodating, the communication was incredible. I didn't just receive top-notch professional courtesy; I felt as if I was hosted by a friend. The space was exactly as advertised and was perfect for my week in the city. It's perfectly situated downtown, within easy walking distance of anything you could want. By day, the area is lively with students, professionals, and families. By night, it's peaceful and quiet. Very safe and picturesque area, and the view from the condo balcony is exquisite. I will most definitely be seeking Chris out for all of my future trips to Winnipeg.
Great recently redecorated rental is in a great location. Walking to Osborne Village, the Forks, the Exchange District, and downtown is fun and easy. The condo was clean and very well equipped. There were even good sharp knives in the kitchen, which is a rarity! The bed was comfortable, and we slept well. The furnishings were attractive and comfortable. Chris was a great host and we would certainly stay here again.
We arrived at the apartment to find the building under construction. After weaving through construction workers and jack hammering to park our car in the underground parking we went up to the suite to discover the construction sound was very audible. The place was fairly nice but after being woken up at 730am to the sound of jack hammers we asked for a refund for the remaining nights. Chris was nice and promptly gave us our money back. Although booking a last second hotel and wasting groceries we bought thinking we would have a place to cook them added hundreds of dollars to the trip.
