I booked Alicia's apartment for my stay in Toronto for the Film Festival, so only really spent time there to sleep, coming home late at night after the last screening & then leaving again the following morning to catch the first screening. It was well located for the Festival, with most of the cinemas within 15mins walking distance- the farthest were the Elgin & Wintergarden at 20mins, and the Ryerson Theatre where Midnight Madness screenings showed a 30min walk home. It's actually a bit of a shame I didn't spend more time in the apartment, as the view is spectacular! There is some construction going on beside the building, but I didn't hear anything from that or the neighbours on the floor, and only the occasional siren or loud traffic from the street- it was very quiet. There were a couple of nights that the water supply in the building was interrupted, which to be fair to Alicia was outside of her control. Fortunately the water supply had been restored by the following morning. I'm hoping to make it back for TIFF again next year & if I do, I'll be making enquiries of Alicia to book her apartment for that.
Pros: - Location; close to ACC and Rogers Centre, grocery store, Starbucks, LCBO and bank - Alicia and Von were okay to deal with - wifi Cons: - bed/pillows were uncomfortable and blanket was very thin (so bring warm clothes) - very small (should be advertised as a studio) - 1 towel - 55th floor (elevator took quite awhile) Overall: I think this place is overpriced for what you are getting. If you are just looking for a good location, a roof over your head and you are a minimalist, this will suffice.
