A private and cosy mountains cottage nestled in the tree tops that backs onto the edge of the Blue Mountains National Park. Enjoy the slow combustion fire and the floor to nearly ceiling windows overlooking the (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)s, as well as the local bird and wildlife. Soak in the generous sized bath and unwind in the peaceful and quiet surroundings. Adjacent to walking trail leading to many other popular walks and spectacular lookouts. Close to cafes, restaurants, art galleries and antique shops. The perfect retreat!
The floor to nearly ceiling windows keep the cottage fresh and light. You can curl up by the fire with a good book or just relax with a glass of your favourite red wine and watch the mist roll in through the trees. The space is warm and cosy even on the coldest winters night. The bathroom has just recently been renovated and includes a very generously sized bath to rejuvenate in.
You can access the walking trail to Popes Glen from the backyard and from there you can either walk to Blackheath village through the bush (approx 1.9km) for a coffee or head towards the famous Govetts Leap (approx 2km), Pulpit Rock, or the wilderness of the Blue Gum Forest and beyond. There are many other activities around depending on how adventurous you want to be, from golf to canyoning.
We are happy to give our guests space but are readily contactable by phone, text or email.
If you have an average sized car, the driveway is steep and may scrape the bottom of it. You may choose to park at the top of the drive or if you do want to park under the carport we recommend reversing down for an easier exit.
We look after our little cottage and ask that you do too.
No shoes inside.
Please leave the kitchen clean and tidy like you found it.
