Fabiola booked the Casita for 2 nights and sent the money to AirBnB. Then when AirBnB sent us our contact numbers, she reached me saying she had a pet. I told her pets pay $75.00 and that this is something she should have done when booking! Then she tried EVERYTHING in the book NOT to pay for this fee. She alleged the dog was a "companion dog", if I knew city regulations about companion dogs, etc. etc. BTW, the fee of $75.00 for a dog is CLEARLY stated in the AirBnB site, which she neglected to see!
Then she turned around and said her girlfriend had a dog as well. Now we have 2 dogs which she never told AirBnB about! I told her as a courtesy I will ONLY charge for 1 dog. Then I went through the rules about pets. Oh, boy, was she upset about it!
I have to say that after a guest brought a dog who destroyed everything when left alone in the Casita, I insist on rules! I tell all my guests they need to bring a dog bed, dog'spots and pans, food, leash, and if they need to leave them alone in the house, a cage. Fabiola couldn't understand my aprehension.
As I mentioned, the dog fee is clearly stated on the AirBnB site which she claimed didn't see, as it is a picture of the second bedroom, which she also neglected to see.
There is heating in the whole house so leaving the door open would have been enough to heat the guest bedroom but this is not what these ladies decided to do but rather shared the bed in the main bedroom.
Through the almost 20 years I have been in this business, I have had couples as well as single people sleeping in the second bedroom and absolutely nobody has ever complained about it.
I have always received excellent reviews about the lodging, my attention to it and the beautiful surroundings.
