Balure Cottage, down near the shores of Loch Etive is a gorgeous little Bothy. The ideal location to completely relax and get away from it all.
What I love about Balure is that you can open the front door and go straight for a walk in the most wonderful lochside scenery. I love the fact that the surrounding hills are teaming with wildlife and birds. Often you catch a glimpse of a red deer or roe deer, red squirrels and even sometimes the very shy pole cat, while above the buzzards soar higher and higher. Down by the loch there is a whole other life – seals, otters, oyster catchers, cormorants, ducks – wild flowers and fauna everywhere.
Guests have access to all areas of the cottage, garden and estate.
When you are staying here you become an honourary local at the smokery shop/café with free access to the smoker exhibition and a 5% discount for any purchases made in the shop.
For fishermen, there is a special guest rate for fishing on any of the three trout lochs, with no hourly limit.
