Baltimore is known for it's exposed brick walls and 'shot-gun' style row homes - you can see straight through from the front door to the back. Our 'Common House' is a blend of modern and vintage with unique art hanging throughout.
We rent our spare bedroom while we're in Baltimore and our whole home when we're traveling abroad. Check out our profile page for full list of reviews.
This is a pre-1900 row home, renovated with all new flooring, new systems (plumbing, heating/AC, electric), new appliances and unique touches (eg: custom shelving, concrete counter tops, skylight in bathroom, double-headed shower). This listing is for a private, cozy room with work space. The second floor, street facing room has a queen-size futon which sleeps two. A small closet, full desk and printer are available in the room for your use. Guests will share our full, second floor bathroom. Parking around our home is zoned street parking. We have one visitor parking pass for guests which can be borrowed during your stay. Street parking is sometimes challenging – please let us know ahead of time if you plan to use the parking pass.
Additional features of the house include wifi, washer/dryer, gas grill and patio and a big chef’s kitchen with tons of gourmet cooking equipment. Our house has only one TV, in the living room, and no cable. We use a Roku box which is connected to Hulu Plus, Netflix and Pandora. We also have a cat, Ernesto, who is a lover and a shed-monster. We do our best to keep the house clean of cat hair, but do ask that guests with allergies come prepared.
As this listing is for a private bedroom with shared common rooms, we will be in the house with you for most of your stay (we also work from home). We ask that you treat our home as you would your own and respect our daytime work schedule. We are a social couple and invite you to spend time with us in the common rooms of the first floor. If you plan on sight-seeing or going out, we know Baltimore inside and out and are happy to give recommendations/reviews for restaurants, activities, etc.
Treat our house as you'd want yours treated. Enjoy yourself whether you're coming to visit family, take in a game or even work. No smoking, no drugs, no pets.
We look forward to meeting you!
