Cozy urban cabin feel in the heart of the city!
This is a cozy and clean space that encourages visitors to kick back and take in the areas "Joie de Vivre" attitude with fellow travellers. Hang out in the living room or communal kitchen table.
Faites comme chez vous! (Make yourself at home!) I encourage you to share and connect with other travellers (and myself) but offer a comfortable space to cocoon between explorations.
Imagine the coziness and vintage furniture of a good ol' Canadian cottage, the sense of community and sharing of a hostel and the amenities and services of a bed & breakfast.... and with a central location for exploring the best Winnipeg has to offer.
Your private room, has a very comfortable new queen size bed. It's located on the main floor of the guesthouse which is shared with other travellers. You will also have access to a full washroom which is shared among the other guests as well as a change room with a double sink. The living room and fully stocked kitchen are for all to use.
I offer laundry service for 5$/load including wash and dry.
I will gladly meet you upon check in and am available to you for any questions or help throughout your stay.
I also have my private space on the property so am never too far away!
A small vegetarian "breakfast snack" is included in your cost and is served between 8am-11am. Think croissant, yogurt parfait, juice, coffee/tea. Just a little something to help you get your day started. Please let me know of any allergies or gluten-free diets in advance, as I will try to accommodate but it may not always be possible.
The guesthouse is an older updated house with many original characteristics and quirk. Up-cycled furniture, decor and original maple wood floors with a little creek in its step are all part of the quirk. We also strive for a green and conscious way of living including waste recycling and invite our guests (you) to join that mission.
The guest house is on the main floor of a converted duplex home.
- No outside guests
- Respect amongst all guests in a must
- Please be mindful of noise levels at night and early hours
- Guests are expected to wash their dishes
Bonjour! I am born and raised in a small Manitoban town and currently live in what I consider Winnipeg's best neighbourhood! I am fluent in French and English and attempt to be in Spanish. I have a great love of travel and adventure and have explored over 30 countries. I've worked in the the Tourism/Hospitality industry as a travel planner and on board Canada's legendary “Canadian” train for many years. Now, I am currently working on converting my home into a guesthouse that can symbolize my passions and imagination and where I'm able to share and connect with like minded travellers.
