Hi! and Welcome!
Likely you book with Airbnb because you like comfortable, possibly beautiful surroundings. Because I am an artist my surroundings are very important. Right now, I am sitting in the comfortable living room of Wister House South, near the fireplace and facing Narragansett Bay. There is uninhabited Dutch Island and Connanicut Island further to the east, across the bay, the Dutch Island light house and, of course, the sparkling blue bay itself. It is so beautiful my heart sings!
Truly, I can't live without art and music, friends, family, a special view! Though I would like to, I haven't traveled far or often. Each year I spend a week or so in Tesuque New Mexico, go to Vermont in the fall, and visit my son and his family in the Great Lakes region as often as possible.
I've nestled into my cottage and lease the 'big' house to travelers. This allows me time to work in my studio. I think people find me interesting, at least, because I do decorate the house with art for sale. Additionally my studio is across the driveway and folks love to come in and check it out!
The gardens are pesticide free and a little overgrown with herbs, edible and medicinal and wild plants. I like to walk as lightly on the earth as I am able.
