This flat is airy and spacious. The air conditioning is excellent, which you will love for the hot weather that is Plovdiv. The location is perfect if you want to be half way between the regatta venue for rowing or running along the channel and the pedestrian mall/old town. Liberator's Hill is just across the street if you want to walk, hike or run in a park like setting. Located at the intersection of two busy streets, it is easy to catch a taxi or the bus. Another bonus of this location is the Nedalya Bakery Cafe, located right next door. They don't open until 8:00 am, but they have a lovely indoor space, or you can sit outside. They have sandwiches and beverages in addition to the coffee and cakes. There is also a cash machine right below the apartment. The apartment building has an elevator, which we happily used. There are two balconies, one facing the front and the other facing the back of the building. This flat gives you the feel of what it would be like to live in Plovdiv, so if you like that experience as a traveler, this is a great place. The price was also excellent.
My friends and I found the flat better looking in reality. One of the rooms was newly refurbished, which came as a pleasant surprise. The flat was surprisingly quiet (even with the windows open) although it was on a main and busy road. The AC saved our lives during that hot weekend. The bathroom was tiny (doesn't really matter for a weekend stay) and there was a bathtub (not suitable for someone with mobility issues), but overall, I'd recommend the flat. It is located very close to Kapana and the old city (Nebet Tepe), it was nice that we did not really need our car apart from going to Aliosha, the singing fountains and the sports base. It was far from the nightclubs and the rowing base (both are located in the outskirts). Parking space is not really an issue although the flat is in central Plovdiv- we managed to find a parking space on the streets behind the block of flats. The host was nice and accurate, but Airbnb message response time could be improved. We had to call on the day of our arrival to arrange the check in although we had sent a message 2 days prior to the arrival. The check out was easy and quick! Bottom line: good price-quality ratio in comparison to hotels in the area.
