Our cozy home is located in charming Ameliasburgh, which is just a short drive away from tons of wineries, breweries, restaurants, boutiques, galleries, and of course Sandbanks Provincial Park. We have one extra bedroom which can accommodate 2 guests, ideal for young couples or friends coming to explore the County. Also great for last minute accommodation. Our space is better suited for "travellers" rather than "vacationers" as we are in the midst of doing some renovations. We will always have a small variety of breakfast foods available so help yourself!
Our house was built in the 1890's and features spacious, sunny rooms and Victorian/farmhouse characteristics. The Seaglass bedroom has been recently updated with fresh paint and refinished original flooring. The room is simple and cheerful with a beachy vibe. There is one full sized antique bed which can sleep two if you don't mind sharing!
Our guests have access to the entire main floor of the house, featuring a large eat in kitchen, formal dining room, cozy living room, and recently renovated bathroom. These are shared spaces between ourselves and our visitors. Guests also have access to our large back deck, BBQ, and fire pit. We can give you tons of recommendations of all the best places to visit!
Heads up! We are lovingly restoring our home back to its original beauty as it is an older century home. Some rooms need new paint and flooring, but if you look beyond the surface you will fall in love with the character and history of the house, just as we have. However if you are looking for something totally modern and luxurious our place may not be for you as it is a "fixer upper!"
All we ask is for our guests to please respect the house as you would your own.
We are easy going and enjoy getting to meet our guests when we can. We keep pretty busy and we're often coming and going, but can easily be reached by text at any time to answer any questions you may have.
We are a young married couple with big dreams. We hope to travel the world but for now the furthest we have been is Cuba. That's okay because we live in Prince Edward County and absolutely love it! For a living I serve wine all day, every day and my husband builds dinosaurs (seriously). We live a simple and joyful life and we hope your stay with us is the same :)
