Casa de Sombra is an enjoyable full-level, downstairs "apartment style" space within a mid-century modern home. Located on a small hill in a quiet neighborhood, guests will feel at home with the care-free (and cozy) bohemian aesthetic, with a quaint, minimal kitchen and dining space, connected living and bedroom and an outdoor living space. A small walk invites you to your get-away home. Be sure to stop and smell the roses.
Guests will have access to the full downstairs apartment (kitchen-dining, bath, and conjoined living-bedroom) and an outdoor space with lawn and shade (chairs, table and BBQ grill). City Park is within walking distance, or take small walk around the neighborhood.
We are available by text or phone, and if we are home, we would be happy to help with anything during your stay.
There is a small walk required (from parking) to the downstairs entrance to space. Guests will need to be able to walk one flight of steps.
Plenty of shade in the summer and sun in the winter (great windows for letting in light or summer breezes).
Close to I-84 for ease of travel to and from destinations.
- Small gatherings are permitted.
- Pets should be well behaved and picked up after.
- Smoking is allowed outside only.
My name is Ali. I grew up on the Snake River in a small town in Idaho. I can't live without my family and friends, the wilderness, good food and wine (or IPAs), music and art. My partner (Ty) and I love to hike and camp, play music, and cook great meals in the dutch oven. We feel most at home in the desert and mountains of our home state - Idaho - yet we are wanting to travel and explore more of North America. We have a deep appreciation for the land we call home.
