John's place was perfect for our stay. I am a single mother with a 17 year old son and an 11 year old daughter so I needed the 3 bedrooms. My daughter brought a friend and my sister came with us too so the queen beds were exactly what we needed and my sister said the couch was very comfortable as well. The house is like visiting your favorite grandparents' house for summer vacation. It was close to everything we wanted to do: Patriots point, downtown, Isle of Palms, Mt. Pleasant, shopping, restaurants, beaches, everything, but far enough away from the noise and traffic of downtown. I sat on the porch every evening, even in a thunderstorm and enjoyed the peace and quiet and the view of the water. The house even has the marsh water in the backyard to enjoy as well. We were always gone until late at night so we didn't enjoy that view much (young children would need to be supervised closely). My 11 year olds loved the swings in the back yard and my 17 year old enjoyed looking at the boats and the jeep :) We also had fun playing the board games. There are TVs but we didnt even turn them on. The showers had amazing water pressure and John had thoughtfully left some toiletry essentials. We luckily remembered everything, but if you did forget shampoo or soap you'd be ok. Oh, and most importantly for me was there was keurig coffee maker! Charleston is one of my favorite cities to visit and John's place made it comfortable. Thanks, John!
