Will's place was great! Super convenient location, walking distance to Whole Foods and plenty of restaurants. Great access to the ferry, which is a fun way to get to Manhattan, especially with the free ferry shuttle on the other end! Super clean and efficient. A warning to light sleepers though, the apartment is right next to a fairly busy road, so there is definitely frequent traffic noise. Not a problem for us, though!
Apartment is great for one person or a couple. Clean, comfortable, A/C, cable TV and wireless internet. Short walk to Whole Foods, pharmacy and several other shops. Good selection of places close by to eat at. Brownstone Pancake Factory next door was great for brunch. Excellent coffee shop called Kuppi is within walking distance down the road. If planning to use the apartment as a base for touring New York, plan on catching the 158 bus which stops close by. It terminates at the Port Authority bus terminal near midtown. There are ferries that run very close by but they only run commuter hours. There is also a ferry terminal along the 158 bus route that runs frequent and longer hours and you can buy a combo pass for the bus and ferry if desired. Apartment is located in a nice area, close to waterfront. A public path runs along the water with a great view across the Hudson to Manhattan. Check in/out was painless. Didn't need to contact Will but he was available if required. Would stay at again if in the area.
The airbnb is exactly as listed. It was comfortable and well supplied with pots, kitchen ware, and eating utensils if you want to cook your meals during your stay. The airbnb is also conveniently near delis, restaurants, and grocery stores (Wholefoods, Trader Joes, Shoprite, etc.). It is also a 10 minute walk from the Sojo Spa Club or a 1 minute drive if you have a car. There is no parking close to the airbnb, but a ton of street parking in the area. The only con would be that the airbnb is close to a major street so it does get loud, but that's not Will's fault (something to consider if you're here on a business trip). Overall, great experience and would love to stay here in my future trips back.
There was a few problems when we got there. Only had 1 towel, 1 roll of TP and some other things. We had to go buy a few towels and TP but the Host did reimburse me for the cost, but still a bit of a pain. It is a small studio apartment. Nice but not much if you plan to spend more time inside than just to sleep. No cooking utensils or anything like that so you will be eating out. There is a whole food across the street which is convenient. You will have to take a bus into Port Authority then go to wherever you want to from there. Not terrible but a bit farther away than what I thought it was. Overall it got the job done for my friend and me but wish it was a bit nicer and more convenient.
Great little gem- a nice and clean studio for two. Right next to the Brownstone pancake and across is wholefood, Duane reade and beautiful walkway alongside the river. There is street parking and the road is right next to the place. There is also cable available and plenty of natural light through the big windows. Will is a very responsive host and was great to communicate with.
Excellent place to stay especially if you are planning to visit Manhattan daily. The studio apartment has everything you would need , is very clean and super comfy for one or two people. 30 second walk to bus to Manhattan , across the street from Whole Foods and other stores, many restaurant options around , scenic path along the Hudson River across from the apartment. Definitely will be staying there again, Will was an excellent and very accommodating host .
