Cottage #5 is one of 8 cottages on the resort of Lime Kiln Cottages along the shore of Lake Huron. Recently upgraded with new flooring, furniture, and paint. Come discover our 87 year history, explore Bruce County, relax around a bon fire, listen to the quiet of this yet to be discovered hamlet of Inverhuron. 10 min. to Kincardine, 25 min. to Port Elgin. Bring your ATVs - we are 5 min. from miles of trails and we will provide trail guides at no charge. Check out our other cottages on line.
Cottage #5 was formerly the dining hall and the library. During the fascinating past of this resort the dining room served up to 120 people 3 meals a day - old pictures show men and women lounging on adirondack chairs, dressed for dinner, reminicsent of scenes from the movie Dirty Dancing, as staff dash around making sure everything is perfect under the watchful eye of Mrs. Perry.
You will have acess to almost 3 acres of gardens; lawns for lawn games, sand volleyball court, swings and sandbox for the young guests. Sit under the gazebo on top of the kiln and watch the most beautiful sunsets. Wander across the road to the rock beach or stroll down the path 5 min. to one of the nicest sand beaches on Lake Huron. Bring your boat or seadoo - launch them right near the property - and we have plenty of parking for either.
We have onsite management at all times to get the firewood to the firepit or fresh propane tank to your BBQ. We provide information about the area with maps and activities.
Holiday weekends minimum three booking.
Guests are to bring their own bed linens and towels.
