Simple private room in shared house situated in pristine gorgeous valley, part of the Big East Fork Conservation Easement.
House is a four bedroom, 2.5 bathroom ranch. Several hiking trails (purchase of pass and signed liability waiver required) lead through the meadow to Timberlands County Park off the Natchez Trace Parkway, a lovely pond, beautiful creek and Big East Fork Retreat.
Common areas include kitchen and spacious living room. The full bathroom in common hallway is shared with the two other rooms on that side of the house. The master bedroom on the other side of the house has its own full bathroom. Front porch rocking chairs and back porch dining furniture. Outdoor adventurer's dream!
The ranch house is located at the end of a long dirt driveway opposite the mailbox. The cattle gate may be closed but will be unlocked. Once you enter, you may keep the gate open since cattle no longer graze.
Obtain a day pass from Big East Fork Retreat and hike through the forest and meadow to the pond on the Big East Fork Reserve. Continue up the hill to Timberlands Park (a Williamson County state park within the National Natchez Trace Parkway).
You will receive the door punch code soon before you arrive onsite. All guests are MUST pay State (9.5%) and County (4%) taxes before check-in (Unfortunately, AirBNB does not collect state taxes for TN rentals). Big East Fork Retreat is located close by at 5375 Big East Fork Road and taxes may be paid there, BUT staff is not always available. To avoid delay in checking in, PLEASE pay the taxes electronically before you arrive. PaayPal works great!
If you are having an EVENT (in which non-lodging guests use the property) you must send a message to receive details and pricing. Please receive documented permission and pay any related fees before you invite non-lodging guests on the premises. Trespassers will be treated as such.
Guests may use hiking trails and lake at Big East Fork Retreat only after signing liability waver at the adjacent Retreat (Day pass required).
I am available via cell phone at reasonable hours. Or I may be at Big East Fork Retreat.
It is my honor to make sure you have a delightful stay.
Please avoid interacting with the sheriff; inviting guests or having parties without owner's permission will be considered trespassing. Be sure to get permission from Jonathan or owner before you invite others or have a party on the premises.
A wifi hotspot is available to the house. Please keep it in the common area so it may be used by all guests. The password is obtained by tapping the screen on the small black box.
Texting me on my cell phone is the easiest way to reach me. I am usually at my home nearby at Big East Fork Retreat "up the creek" at 5375 Big East Fork Road.
- Please respect the other guests in the house
We are the proud owners of Big East Fork Retreat, embedded in 1200 acres of pristine valley and ridge which creates the protected watershed at the head of Big East Fork Creek. It is located 30 minutes west of Nashville and 10 minutes north of Franklin.
We have been working on the retreat for several years and enjoy entertaining people passing through or staying for a week or two.
I am a physician and my partner is as well.
Looking forward to your stay!
