I am situated conveniently near to the key routes and busier road(s) and areas of Lilliput, but the 5 minute walk away from them means:
- My home is QUIET and
- (In addition to the OFF-ROAD PARKING for 1 large car) there’s LOTS of FREE UNRESTRICTED PARKING on quiet, wide, lit road OUT FRONT.
My home. You'll be the only guest(s).
Separate SHOWER ROOM/WC for your private use.
Your own LOUNGE/DINER. TV (with Freeview catch-up). Leads out to your own DECK.
I sometimes get called away from home at the last minute, so I may be away for part or all of your stay (or leave during it) so please expect to be SELF-CATERING and bring in YOUR OWN FOOD if needs be (shops only 5 minutes away). But help yourself to any hot & cold SOFT DRINKS, BISCUITS and CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST foodstuffs that you may or may not find here.
Use my KITCHEN to make simple breakfast (or evening meal) if you’d prefer not to eat out nearby. Sorry NOT use of the gas hob, grill or oven, but there is a microwave (with recipes) and a steamer - or bring back a 'take away' (some nearby) or get meals delivered (details will be supplied at my home). Some fridge space.
GARDEN - for quiet relaxing and dining - sunny, particularly in evenings.
Please be considerate to my quiet neighbours and me, particularly when coming and going late evening/early morning, when indoors after 11 pm and when using the garden or deck.
Please kindly keep my home in the nice condition that you find it.
* By agreement with me prior to booking, there are FACILITIES for considerate WATER, OUTDOOR & SPORTS folk like me including:
*** front yard space (for watercraft & trailer etc) (unsecured) (max. width 2.80m – max length: 7.40m) instead of off-road parking for vehicle.
*** store kit, equipment, bikes, boards, kayaks, wetsuits etc in my (secured) back drive, garden or garage.
*** use hose and/or water butt for washing sports wear and kit.
*** use outside carousel line to dry sports wear.
*** use garage to finish drying sports wear and equipment.
*** use small clothes horse/rack in my hall to dry damp (not dripping) clothing and footwear (but NOT wetsuits or other kit – which can be put in the garage).
Access is via the kitchen door. You will have your own key.
You may see me around, I’ll come and go – and I may be working at home in my study. To give you privacy I don't use the kitchen or garden much when you’re here and keep to myself (I have my own separate living/dining room, kitchenette and toilet). But I'm friendly, happy to give advice on Poole, Dorset or the New Forest - and feel free to ask me anything else.
I sometimes get called away from home at the last minute, so I may be away for part or all of your stay (or leave during it).
I'll try to be here for your arrival/check-in, but it's not necessary.
You'll have my phone number to contact me in the event of last minute changes to your arrival/check-in time or any emergencies or problems during your stay.
I'm sorry, but my home is unsuitable for people with LIMITED MOBILITY, WALKING AIDS or WHEELCHAIRS.

30 years in Poole. Love being outdoors, the natural world, wildlife and the water - enjoy outdoor pursuits, sports, watersports, hobbies and holidays (including skiing) feeding that love. Also volunteering, all the arts, photography, gardening, local history, cultural places and meeting people from all walks of life and parts of the world (and I'm meeting/learning from amazing people/travellers using Airbnb). I’m a 'lucky local' living in one of the last surviving charming roads of Lilliput - close enough to walk, bike or bus to everything Poole has to offer (and I'm interested in pretty much everything!) - but my 5 minutes walk from the main road means I can also live in peace and tranquillity - in my own Shangri-La. This area has so much to offer I needn't go on holiday - but I've ventured a fair bit in the UK and abroad.
