A farmhouse turned guesthouse in the heart of Ishikawa. Surrounded by beautiful landscapes, Noto is a lively town, famous for its many festivals, including the ‘notorious’ Abare festival. Your hosts will personally show you their fascinating lifestyle and traditions from many years ago. They will cook meals made from locally sourced ingredients, and will offer you a peek into their traditions via plenty of engaging activities for the whole family.
- No shoes in the house
- Please do not throw anything but toilet paper into toilet since it can cause a toilet clog, and in order to arrange a repair it can cost a lot to do so
The owners of Shunran no Yado, Kiichiro and Hiroko, are the first family in the area to turn their house into a guesthouse. With the hope of revitalizing his hometown, Kiichiro has helped many of his neighbors turn their houses into guesthouses as well. Kiichiro is now the leader of a group of 49 guesthouses in the Noto region called 'Shunran no Sato'.
The policy of Shuran no Yado is to have only one group of guests at a time, so you will have their hospitality all to yourself!
