Our 2 storey Postmill Annexe is full of charm and character. It has an abundance of original beams and exposed bricks and a wood burner for chilly evenings. Within walking distance of amenities, (tea shop, butchers, pubs, church, tennis court), and with miles of lovely footpaths from the doorstep.
Our two storey open plan annexe is the restored base of the village windmill. It is across the drive from our house, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac of 4 other houses. We have a meadow with a picnic table and an orchard, which guests are welcome to enjoy during their stay. Walsham-le-Willows is a beautiful village, with a tea shop, two pubs and an award winning butchers, at its centre. We are within a short driving distance of Wyken Hall with its beautiful gardens, lovely cafe and restaurant, and Saturday farmers market. There are great walks to be had from our doorstep, and excellent cycling, suitable for all abilities, with only gentle rolling East Anglian hills. There is a floodlit tennis court a 10 minute walk away, which can be hired by visitors. We can provide rackets and balls if needed.
Guests are welcome to enjoy our meadow with a picnic table and orchard.
We will aim to be here to greet you, and will then be contactable if you need us.
The Round House is an open plan two storey annexe which is a perfect base from which to explore our beautiful village. There is a king sized bed and a shower and toilet upstairs. There is also a futon sofa upstairs, and a sofa bed downstairs. There is no television reception, but there is a radio and facilities to watch a DVD. (Selection of DVDs available). Being open plan, the Round House has no separate kitchen, but we provide an electric cool box , tea and coffee making facilities, and a toaster with a basket of fresh bread, juice, cereal and milk. Our local pub serves food 6 days a week, (excluding Mondays), and the tea shop opens for breakfast Tuesday to Saturday. We can recommend other nearby places to eat.
Unfortunately the Round House isn't suitable for children under 12, as there are free standing book cases, an open stairway, and uneven floors.
