Ray's place was pretty much what he described in his post. Clean bathrooms, rooms, towels, kitchen. He and his wife were friendly. The beds were very comfy and big. We didn't use the AC. We bought small snacks to keep in the fridge. If you have a car, there are supermarkets amd shopping centers you can drive to. Our room was next to the stairs that lead upstairs and downstairs so one could easily hear people coming up and down (it didn't bother us though). Ray also allowed us to park in his driveway next to his car. The walk to the Malden Center station was easy and there is a pharmacy nearby where you can buy the Charlie Card. Bus 99 (I believe) has a stop right near the house and can be taken to/from station. Overall, very pleasant stay...would stay again.
Enjoyed my stay very much! Rooms/ bathrooms/kitchen were all really clean- loved it very much!! I felt safe and comfortable in the Malden Area (even at night) and the walk to the T is only 10 minutes! Ray was very nice--when I needed to print some music for my audition, he kindly let me use his printer!! Would highly recommend this space to anyone who is exploring Boston!
We made a trip to Boston for my son's birthday and were having difficulty finding a reasonable place to stay while there. I decided to use Airbnb for our trip and am I glad I did. Having never used Airbnb before, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised. They made it easy to find Ray's place and to book it. Our host, Ray was wonderful. His home is in a suburb of Boston and very convenient to public transportation. Although he does provide parking for his guests (a big plus), once we parked our car we just used the subway to get back and forth to Boston. The neighborhood is safe and has many shops and restaurants to explore. Ray's home is beautiful and he provided many amenities, including a kitchen for our use. I would definitely use Airbnb again and I look forward to staying with Ray and his family again on our next trip to Boston. If you have the chance to stay at Ray's place, you will not regret it. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a 20. And, believe me, I know what I'm talking about. I work in the hospitality/tourism industry as well. I know how hard it can be finding reasonable accommodations with all the conveniences of home. Ray's place was fantastic. Thank you again for making our stay so much more enjoyable.
