Our Bed & *NO* Breakfast Family-friendly 12X22 space has been separated into two 12X11 spaces so we can follow City rules and offer it for 4 people. It has a Queen bed, in one room, a Double & a Single in the other. We've used room dividers to do this.
There is Access to a full bath which is shared with a separate guest bedroom (#2 Blue Room).
All are welcome. We respect you & know you are respectful too. We love to meet new people as they come to enjoy Zion and other Color County activities.
We are 3 miles off of I-15 in a beautiful little community. Toquerville was once the County Seat. The Decorative Pear trees that line the boulevard are almost 50 years old.
Your room is the large one over the garage. There's a queen bed, a single, and a bunk bed. There's a loveseat with two recliners, a writing/laptop table and chair, and a small refrigerator.
It's perfect for family or any group ready to conquer Zion's mysteries.
The kitchen is SELF-SERVE, BRING YOUR OWN FOOD/DRINK & CLEAN THE DISHES YOU USE. Any pots, pans, plates, bowls, utensils we have are for your use during your stay.
****Remember you do have a small refrigerator in your room as well.
The kitchen is occasionally crowded in the morning but if you don't mind that, well then you're welcome to join in the chaos! There is also a great coffee shop on your way to Zion, see the guest book.
If you need to use the laundry, talk to me first and I'll help you. The machines are old Maytags and they've lasted forever but they must be treated lovingly.
We are available if you have questions about local activities and events. My husband Layne is a distance and trail- runner, sometimes they're animal trails. If he's home he can tell you all the best spots!
Our home is on 1/2 acre. In the back there are swings and a slide, chickens, bunnies, and a "farm cat" for outdoors. There's also a trampoline. Children must be accompanied by an adult when they play in the yard.
This is a multifamily home. My daughter's family lives on the other side of the second story in the North wing. My husband and I live downstairs.
Please take off your shoes in the house
No illegal activity on the property, of course.
No guests of guests can be invited back to the room, for your safety!
No cooking in the room.
There is a noise ordinance that applies so keep music at a reasonably low volume.
My husband Layne and I moved to this beautiful area in 2003. We've felt like it was "Home" right from the first moment. The people are so kind and generous and genuine.
We are a "seasoned" couple, we've been married for 39 years. We have five wonderful adult children all married and busy giving us lots of grandchildren. Layne is a distance runner. I like to paint and sketch. I couldn't live without blue skies and beautiful vistas. Layne couldn't live without running.
We both love to sing.
We do have a family motto: Come to know God, to Trust Him, and teach others to do likewise.
The longer portion goes like this:
Abide in the light of Christ,
Abound in the truth abundantly,
Enjoying the bounties of the earth.
Teach with the spirit in meekness and humility, but with faith and confidence in God.
Lead, guide, inspire. Expect nothing.
