Gabby was an awesome host. We were evacuating from Fort Stewart due to Hurricane Irma. She took us in when many other hosts wouldn't because we have a toddler. We felt at home with the private bathroom and kitchen/refrigerator access. Her son Connor was super friendly and the sweetest, my daughter enjoyed his company. You won't go wrong choosing Gabby as a host. It was worth every penny.
The room is listed as private. In person, it is her personal bedroom filled with all of her things. From clothes, shoes, soaps that's guests are apparently unable to use ect. She enters the room several times a day to retrieve personal belongings also, she may ask to borrow tour toenail clippers like she did me. This host is completely unfit. She left her son home with my husband and I one evening while she went to work without asking. And we had plans to go to a memorial service so we left anyway. Not cool. Also, she left town in the middle of the night and left us to dogsit/house sit for 3 days. She offered to pay us and then quickly changed her mind because she came back and accused me of stealing a half drank bottle of bacardi from the freezer and some bubble bath. I replaced it and STILL never paid us for being her dogsitter. She must work for the FBI, because she will love to spy on you. Don't worry, if she's not there to do it, she sends in her kindergarten age son to peep on you while you take a nap. privacy is non existing in her home.We arrived 20 minutes early. The host seemed suprise to see us as if she had forgotten she had guests coming. I felt like I was interupting her day at that point because she handled the situation awkwardly. The room wasn't even ready (dirty, smelly ect.). The host claimed it's because she hadn't done cleansing since the last guest 3 weeks prior. So, i went to take a shower and wash the stress of the day off and the water starts to rise above my ankles.. my husband comes in and pulls out a golf ball sized clump of stringy nasty hair! I will skip the gory details. Just know, some hosts just are not domestic and that's ok. In the case that one finds themselves running a so called bnb, it's best to hire a cleaning service. Hux.com charges reasonable rates and it's worth it for the comfort and safety of host and guests alike. Especially when you have a husky dog who sheds hair like snow in a blizzard and a cockroach infestation. I personally cleaned the bedroom to discover thick piles of filth including thick white calcium buildup on the underside of the bathroom faucet. She charged a $50 cleaning fee and I never saw her actually clean. She even complained about having to load the dishwasher. If you pissed this host of for any reason, be prepared to face the silent treatment. She will not let you in the gate or provide any service to you. At that point it's like you are holding her hostage in her home because she acts as such. On the other hand, be prepared for her to text you as soon as you enter the room asking to talk with you, even though you just...
This is a scammed review. These people wanted to find any way they could to cheat out a free air B and B from before they even got there . Would not host again, and I would not trust this review. I have had people stay since then and I have true reviews to show that this is just a cry for compensation and not even close to the truth. I am borderline obsessed with providing the best and homiest experience for an air B and B guest that I possibly can and I do not appreciate this slander left on my profile . Air B and B has very strict guidelines on removing reviews so unfortunately I do not think that I can get this removed but I ask that you refer to the more .... reliable people when it comes to the reviews on my profile .
Gabrielle is the best host I could have ever asked for, especially as a young traveling student doing a summer internship, never having been to Georgia before. Her house is easy locatable, and is close to a variety of nice restaurants, bars, and stores. She has the sweetest 5-year-old son and friendliest husky dog! Her home is beautifully decorated, and she will go above and beyond to make your room feel like a 5-star hotel. Having a private room and bathroom filled with scented candles, glorious soaps and bath bombs, and my own TV screen was more than I expected. More importantly, she's a great person, and you won't have to worry about not feeling welcomed or cared for in her place :)
The place was very close to SunTrust Park! This was a huge plus since we were in town to see a Braves game!! The master bedroom we stayed in was nice, as was the bathroom attached. This listing is perfect for two people, but isn't quite as convenient if you have a third. Gabrielle has a very sweet dog that is insistent on being your best friend when you walk in the door. Piper the dog is very well behaved. We never had to worry, because Gabriella is so attentive, she always answers calls and texts. I would definitely stay again without the third party.
Gabrielle was great at accommodating us last-minute. We appreciated how friendly she was and how she strove to make us feel at home. We liked that the room had a TV and nice bathroom with all sorts of scented bath gels and soaps! The balcony is very inviting, and Gabrielle's dog Piper was truly the best dog I've ever met.
