Our place is a quaint villa in the heart of the charming town of Coonoor. It's spacious and is dressed with rare antique furniture that my family has collected over the years. The room is on the first floor with ensuite bathroom and a study area.
Welcome to our home! If you're someone who loves travelling back in time, you've come to the right place. Our house though built in 2012, has a lovely old school colonial charm to it. It's spaciously spread over 5,400 square feet and has a garage that can fit upto four cars.
The house has three entrances, apart from the main and rear ones, you can also enter from the garage. The ground floor has the living room, one bedroom and a bathroom (not attached). A spiral staircase leads to the first floor which opens out into the kitchen cum dinning room, and two bedrooms with attached bathrooms, one of which opens up into a balcony. All rooms are extremely spacious and have their own study corners. Two of the rooms even have cosy seating areas by the windows.
There's a stairway on the outside that leads to the common garden which has a beautiful gazebo and sit out. Perfect for your morning tea or evening pakodas.
If you are travelling with a driver, we have a separate room and bathroom for him.
For more details you have to come and experience the place in person :)
Guests have access to just one room, the shared dining and living area and common garden.
I live in Bangalore, however I'm available on the phone or email, incase you have any trouble. The house is run by our caretaker Amalraj and his adorable mother who is fondly referred to as 'Patti' (pronounced 'party' ie. grandmother in Tamil). They live next door and are very helpful so please feel free to contact them for anything you require.
I was born and brought up on a farm on the outskirts of Bangalore with (in addition to my family) lots of dogs, sheep, birdies and other furry friends. As my parents loved to travel, all our holidays growing up were spent exploring different corners of the world. We did tons of road trips and now since it's a big part of me, I continue to carry on the travel tradition. I'm a little bias to the beaches but I enjoy the peaceful hills.
My first love is drawing so I spend a lot of time doodling. My passion for Vintage and Classic cars has resulted in me becoming an Automotive Illustrator. I design and create Vintage and Classic Car merchandise for a living.
The other things I enjoy include anything associated with the outdoors and nature, running, swimming, trekking and my favourite of all, sprawling on the grass and playing with all my doggies.
When I travel, the places that stand out are the one's that have lovely warm people who make you feel welcomed and leave you with fond memories. I want to be able to give my guests the same experience. So if you choose our home, we look forward to having you.
